This was a nice set but was pretty small. Wouldn’t recommend for a class or large group but works well.

the ink quality is very nice. it spreads well and and the clean up does not require anything special. the smell is not strong or acrid. the colors are nice and bright. the gold does dry faster than the others but that tends to happen with all metallic paints or inks.

A good starter set for block printing - I had been using leftover screen printing ink, and wondered what the difference was - this proper block printing ink drys a lot slower, allowing you to squeeze just what you need onto your glass for each pull and keeping the brayer from clogging or drying out too quickly. When I decide what colors I want my prints to be, I will buy larger tubes of each.

This ink is fantastic, my only complaint is that it's so expensive and doesn't last very long if you make a lot of prints like I do. I've tried the cheaper inks on Amazon and they were horrible. I gotta say these are vastly superior inks that give a truly beautiful result. I block print and rubber stamp print on paper and fabric and these work very well. I also use the speedball metallics which are amazing mixed with these to make shimmery colors. I also mix them a lot and layer them to make different effects and it comes out great. It just takes a bit of experimentation! The photo shows The result of one such experiment.

Great product! My prints took 36 hours to dry to touch. I'm concerned about the odor of my finished project. I'm hoping my customers will not comment on it.

Mi sono trovata molto bene con questi inchiostri. L'unica pecca è che asciugano velocemente, quindi richiedono di essere stesi più volte nel caso di grosse tirature. Consiglio di agitarli molto bene prima di stenderli, soprattutto bianco e oro. Speedball è una garanzia.

I bought this set after using the same ones on a 3-day lino print course. These are just what you need to get you started. They are a good 'sticky' consistency whilst being easy to roll over designs. We were making small, 4 x 6 inch prints and they were touch dry in minutes, so easy to make 2 or 3 colour designs without wait time other than time taken to cut out more of your design. The colours are strong and quite opaque, the yellow the least of the colours as you might expect. We didn't but you could easily mix them. The rollers clean up easily after use and a little goes a surprisingly long way so don't be put off by the size of the tubes, you'll still get many hours of pleasure from them.

I've been using speedball inks for a while now and this little kit is perfect for people just starting at doing relief printing. The inks provide great coverage and an even finish which is surprising for how much you pay for this kit.
