Yes! An attachable handle is included with the brush. The brush design includes the ability to attach the handle if desired ... or not. The handle extends the reach by 4.3 inches (11cm). Depending on your wheels and cleaning methods, the handle accessory may or may not be needed for your specific scenario and preferences. Many users like that there is not a dedicated handle to get in the way of cleaning around the wheels. And, without a handle, there are no hard surfaces that would make contact with the wheel. You can grab and hold the brush body anywhere along its length. However, if you need more reach, with a Philips Head screwdriver, simply attach the included handle and you're ready to go. This brush design allows for even greater flexibility on how and where you can clean. The flexible body and Chenille microfiber are designed to be effective without the need for harsh chemicals. (for those who use chemicals, gloves are recommended).

How well does this brush work with acid-based wheel cleaners, like Meg's Wheel Brightener?

That’s a good question.... I believe one of the goals of the patented design was to let users to clean their wheels without the need for harsh chemicals. I only use regular car shampoo to clean my wheels with the WoollyWormit. However, if you need a good initial deep clean to remove stains, the WoollyWormit should hold up fine. (Just be sure to rinse off brush thoroughly afterwards.) I don’t know about the cleaner you’ve mentioned, but I’d suggest only using wheel cleaners formulated specifically to not damage wheel finishes. Be careful to not use harsh or acidic cleaners often - not just to prolong the life of your brush, but more importantly to not damage the finish on your wheels.

How thin does this get? I can never fit a brush or anything else to reach the back of my truck wheels or behind the wheel caliper.

The brush was too thick for my factory wheels on my 2020 Toyota Camry SE. but worked fine for my 2010 Honda Fit Sport wheels.

I've been detailing cars as a hobby for 20+ years. I purchased this tool for use on my C7 z51 Corvette and an Acura MDX. If your expectation is for this tool to hop out of the box, dance a jig, and then clean your wheels effortlessly... you will be disappointed. However, i found that it did take a job i'm admittedly not particularly fond of, and make it a lot quicker/easier, while still yielding great results. This tool is very well made and sturdy, though i would still recommend the use of a long bristle tire brush for the surface wheel/tire cleaning. The area this tool really shines is in that you can bend and flex it to fit all the nooks and cranny's of your vehicles wheels, calipers and rotors. It does a fine job of molding to the barrel of the wheel to get old brake dust that accumulates over time and its a tool that i can see will definitely have cumulative effects (ie. each time it takes off more old deposits). My favorite feature is the lug nut polishing sponge. While you may have to try more than one sponge/plastic holder (many sizes included)... when you do find the right one it does a FANTASTIC job at getting brake dust out of the lug holes. My nuts have never been cleaner! That aside, its easy to clean and hangs nicely to dry. Its not an inexpensive tool, but take a second and think of all the gimmicky crap you've tried over the years that didn't work at all. This tool does work and you can tell it was built by someone who thought through the requirements of the job. Hope this helps!
