I was annoyed when I saw how tiny the bottle. is. But I opened it and saw it is a thick paste, one teaspoon is the serving size and there are ten serving in the bottle. I made a dish with broccoli tofu mushrooms in coconut milk. One teaspoon was the perfect seasoning and it was delicious! It is a little pricy at eighty cents a serving but everything is pricy now.

Spicy but not overpowering; great on chicken pieces (breast meat). Good with angel hair pasta or rice

It's sufficiently spicy rendang paste but lacks discerning flavor. Still I am glad to have it available if I cannot find better sauces to cook my rendang recipes. A tad too expensive for the amount you get in a tiny bottle.

It’s the right stuff. So easy, just follow the simple recommended steps and you’ll get a perfect beef rendang.

love that it is organic but its not quite what you’d expect for sambal taste. first off it’s tiny. its slightly larger than those little jam or honey bottles you get with room service. it has a very thick pasty consistency and is extremely dark in color. the actual sambal taste is also mild to absent. Dollee Nasi Lemak sambal is a much superior taste but if you are looking for paste than this may work for you.

Yummy! Made a lamb and eggplant rendang and it was soooooo good. This great paste made it easy to cook up.

I am not one to leave a negative review but this particular product, for me, was not pleasant at all. It does not taste like any Laksa I've ever had or made before and again maybe this is just me, but I will not be using this again nor would I ever buy it again. It honestly has been probably one of the most unpleasant items I have tried in a long time. Of course everybody's tastes are different but for me this was a hard pass. I also noticed that the ingredients listed are not what is on the current ingredient label. This image is of the product that I received January 2021 (with an expiry of 07/23/2022)

I'm allergic to shellfish so this vegan laksa paste is perfect for my needs! Would repurchase.

took the plunge and ordered this. glad i took the plunge! you can really taste the difference in terms of the nutritional content between this and the normal hae bi hiams you find in supermarkets. this mimics the taste of the supermarket hae bi hiams pretty well and yet it doesnt taste as unhealthy or oily as those. comes at a price though i have to say but at least you know what you're having is less unhealthy than the usual!

This is not the Southeast Asian laksa. This seems to be green curry paste.

Love that they do vegan and organic, however this paste nowhere taste anything like nonya laksa. Perhaps it is a Thai vegan interpetation of the dish.
