I'm Trying to Love Math Review: Great book - This was a gift to my math-hater daughter. She loved it and change her view for math a little. Made us all smile Review: Awesome book - I teach 2nd grade and when I was in elementary school I hated math, therefore I try really hard to make math fun and engaging. This book is so fun! I love it, there are so many awesome and interesting connections between math and 'real' life. I will say 2nd grade is a little young, it's probably better for 4th-6th grade because some of the connections are little more advanced.

Inspiring & Relevant Children’s Read aloud!
Such a fantastic book! Perfect for a read aloud, as it fosters lots of conversation ! I read this one to a group of 3rd graders and they couldn’t stop talking... They were able to draw parallels between themselves and the 2 voices of this story. This book helps children to see that Math is a bigger part of their lives than they may have realized: cooking, music, nature. Awesome read!

I'm Trying To Love Math
Review: I removed a star as there was so much information that it wasn’t as fun of a read for me (and I personally enjoy math). This might be a good storytime read for older kids, unless they’d likely get overloaded by information. It was kind of funny and could be more fun with an energetic reader. It was cool to see how many different basic things that everyone knows/knows about use math though! Summary: What's so great about math? Let's show this alien that there are much better things on earth than that...

Cute!
This was a cute book. I read it to my 12 year old who hates math. It’s kinda cheesy but it got her thinking about all of the different ways we use math. I really like the quiz question on the inside cover.

I reali enjoyed it!
I read everything book to be surge my Kids will like it. I’m an adult that struggled with Math as a child and I will go beyond to help my little ones to enjoy and to understand why it is important. This book was so nice, I felt it spoke to my inner girl and she was so pleased. I can’t wait to share it with my kids.

My Nervous Fourth Graders LOVE this book!!
Excellent book! I am sure some of my students thought that they are a bit "too old" for a picture book, but they were enraptured, especially because the subject matter so accurately captures their feelings about mathematics! They've been given hope through humor. You will not regret this purchase!

Great story
I fell in love with this story. Great to get kids talking about math and their frustrations with math.
