Cheap and just works. Relatively quiet too.
I bought this for a 12A 3D printer. It works well. It doesn't turn off over time even if the 5v is not connected. It's not completely quiet per se but it's not noisy either. The fan makes a low-frequency noise that is easy to ignore. Plus, it's really not very loud. I had much more expensive power supplies that makes a lot more noise than this for the same wattage.Note: this one PSU has a single 4PIN 12v connector (and a bunch of regular molex, sata, and a main board connector, of course)For a basic power supply, can't go wrong.

great value and ease
Perfect fit.im not a tech guy so I called around locals and almost everyone wanted over $60.00. For the same power supply so I decided to try myself and it was so easy and saved over $30.00. I recommend this supply works great and quiet and more power for your budget minded simpletons like myself.

Poor Quality. Save time and money and buy a better unit.
After a month or two, the power supply began to shut off every couple days sometimes after a few hours. If I shut it off for a while it would usually come back to life. This became frustrating as the small server it was running was increasingly unavailable. I eventually sprang for a more expensive unit which has worked flawlessly, and also runs my equipment more efficiently. I would recommend this unit for only the lightest of light duty applications.

Great Value / Good Power
I gave this power supply a five star rating not because it is the best unit on the planet, but because of the exceptional value. Being retired means you watch every penny, something I would recommend long before retirement. This power supply fit my budget even on retirement income. The unit worked as expected out of the box but I found the fan noise to be a bit much for my personal application in a HTPC case. On the other hand I would expect the fan noise to be tolerable under most general applications. Logisys used a 2300 rpm friction bearing fan to move air through this unit. The fan itself has blade guards and the power supply case also had blade guards. The result was not a lot of air flow for 2300 rpm with all the turbulence caused by the many guards. My resolve was to replace the stock fan with a low noise bearing fan spinning at 1700 rpm, and to cut the blade guards from the power supply case in an effort to reduce air flow turbulence. I believe the resulting air flow is every bit as good as with the stock fan (maybe better) and the noise level is much lower, just what I wanted. I also checked the underside of the pcb for cold solder connections, everything looked good & clean in this regard. Yes, I pretty much tossed my warranty out the window with the above modifications, but ended up with a quiet HTPC system that doesn't interfere with my music.

Great price for a low end power supply! However this will not power a new generation gaming rig! Do your homework before buying!
I bought this PSU to use in a newer gaming build I was making for myself. However I did some research online and it seems these power supplies have a BAD BAD rep, However I ordered another PSU to install in my high end gaming system and ended up giving this to a friend who had a ACER HTPC that had a failing power supply, this item came new in the box and was in perfect condition. I installed it in his PC and its working great, BUYERS BE AWARE!!!! This PSU will not work well for a gaming rig, it only has one 12+V rail on it, and that rail only pushes out around 16 to 18 amps, so this psu WILL not power a good video card. The psu will work good to replace an older pc's OEM power supply. They seem decently reliable, more so then people make them sound, but DONT plan on buying a $20 power supply and running it on a high end system...it just might go into melt down and destroy everything you installed... or it might not even power the system on!!!

Repurposed for a 12V power supply
WARNING! THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES VOID THE WARRANTYIt should go without saying, but I will mention it anyway. If you open this up and start cutting wires, good luck getting any kind of a warranty.I purchased several of these to use for powering RC battery chargers. I have a total of 4, 2 in parallel then each parallel rail being connected in series. Just using the 12V supply is 16 amps each for a total of 32 amp per power rail in my setup. This works out to a total of 64 amps at 12v or 32 amps at 24v.When I start loading these up heavy (50A @ 12v/ 600 watts) they put out a decent amount of heat, but they keep right up. The voltage doesn't seem to sag at all. Then again I'm using a fairly constant load, there's very little surge in my battery chargers. To optimize for my purposes, I cut the 3.3v & 5.5v leads and tucked them away nicely inside. I then ran 8ga wire inside the supply and secured it all with zip ties. I also extended the power-on leads so that I can remotely actuate them from a switch panel. Even better, the supply will latch on without a load on the 5.5v side unlike many other switching supplies which require a minimum load. This means when running it on a genny there's no wasted power or extra generated heat. I added a cap at the point where I connected the two supplies. As of yet I have seen no issues with them "fighting" with each other's clock cycles when run in parallel.Overall a good supply performing exactly as I had hoped so far. We'll see how they do after I've owned them a while longer and continue to abuse them with high current loads.

You get what you pay for
got this unit for a PC using a Pentium processor that was going to be used for Web browsing and watching movies, you won't be doing any Gaming or getting any high end graphics cards with this power supply but it works great for a generic use PC, it is very silent, the only cons are that the cables are sort of short so if you have a big case they might not reach all the way to the opposite ends, as i said you get what you pay for.

Good enough
This power supply works great out of the box with one complaint. There are only three molex connectors, though the description says four. There are two SATA power connectors and one small connector. As advertised, it does have the 20+4 connector and 4 pin motherboard connector. We haven't exactly burned it in, but it installed fine in a standard ATX chassis and is running fine for now. For $18 it doesn't get much better than that.
