if is solid brass how can it only weigh 1.3 pounds?

The PVC version weights 1.3 pounds, the brass version weights closer to 2.8 pounds. This description had both materials listed at one time or another so sorry for any confusion. Also, the PVC version is peel-and-stick where the brass version has to be mounted to the door with bolts due to its weight. Mounting materials are included no matter which version you order.

How long are the mounting threads on the back. I wanna know how thick of a door this can be mounted on?

Sure thing Dan! The actual threads are 1.5 inches long, and we provide a set of sex bolts that are 3/4" long so it will easily fit a thicker door as well, we'e seen up to 2 inches. If we need to order special sex bolts to fit anything larger, we can do that as well!

Description says"bronzed finish. made of brass." what i received is made of pvc with tape for attachement. will you replace with what was advertised?
