Replace another reel where plastic parts broke. This one is very heavy duty with metal parts instead. Durable hose and recoil spring. Wish we had this one from the start.

Only complaint is it was not very well packaged. The roller arm bent in shipping but I bent it back. I'm all for environmentally friendly packaging but there just wasn't much in there to protect the reel & especially the roller arm from slamming around inside the box. Some paint flaked off where it bent but doesn't affect how it works, so I don't really care. Works great otherwise, very well built & haven't had any problems using it for several weeks so far. It's solid & retracts nicely.

After years of cheap hose reels I found this one on Amazon for a decent price and good reviews, so I bought one. Very happy with it so far (only had it 1 month) This is a very nice quality reel. 1/2" is nice for added airflow and is very noticeable over the 3/8" units I used to have on impact wrench and die grinder. Only 4 stars because I haven't owned it long term...

Very nice heavy-duty reel with one major flaw. The reel catch mechanism is a cheap piece of plastic junk. The spring that locks the reel in place belongs on a cloth pin. I had to fabricate an aluminum latch and add two tension springs. Working great now...

I couldn’t find one at the big name stores and this one came in two days after I ordered it, and was in excellent condition. It was also cheaper than the price I could’ve order it from them for. The hose on the reel was very high quality, not just a cheap hose that I will have to replace after a few uses .

This product is one of the most expensive air reels out there. I spent the extra money because Lincoln Electric is a trusted name and I wanted something that I didn't want to worry about leaks and was durable. I've had it installed in my garage for a little over a year. I'm just a homeowner, so it has not experienced a great deal of use (maybe 10-15 times). The lock and retract mechanism was always a bit difficult to deal with, but I could eventually get it do do what I wanted. My biggest issue is the last time I went to use it, there was a substantial bubble right behind the compression joint near the fitting. I pulled it down to use it. I hooked up the air chuck and within a few seconds, the bubble burst and started leaking air. I have a Y coming off my compressor with a valve and quick disconnect to a cheap Harbor Freight air line going to the Lincoln air reel. I shut the valve and disconnect the line so the reel does not sit under pressure. I rarely turn the pressure higher than 100lbs and not sure if I ever did through the reel. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this expensive hose real. I'd suggest spending a little less and getting one of better quality.

Well i've been pulling Air Lines most of my life, I find this is great quality and I assume it will last a very long time. I'm a bit of an expert considering on this item considering I took it all apart, to see if I could only mount the bracket, but Nope,! The only fault I can find is, its heavy, and to mount to a ceiling you need at least one other person. I couldn't get a ratchet in place to use 5' lag bolts. So I pre drilled smaller holes to get me started , then attempted to lift into place, no go. I called my son over he backed his truck in so we could stand in the box for my 10ft ceiling. Then used a speed wrench cause i would be there all day with a standard wrench, and we finally got it in place. They need to design a bracket that you mount first then easily attach the rest. The job may have taken 30 min turned in 2 hrs before I called for help. As much as it was a pain, I would easily recommend the product, I don't often! ..cause I get a lot of garbage from China that's no good at all. That reminds me to spend the extra money and buy North American. China Products are utter garbage! {Note from Canada}
