Good whistles. Loud abut not as loud as the Strom whiles which is a different design. These are the loudest I own in this thin 'stick' clip on design. I have 6-8 of this design over the years and just tested them one to the other and this one wins. The Strom is only about 15% louder but it is a lower frequency which can penetrate air differently. I need to try a distance test. I use these for emergency 'stop' chainsaw Ops.

Good whistle, won’t split ear drums but good smooth sound, good lanyard. The pack of 5 that look the same are not the same, not as good.Both make my dogs look up, but these better.

Warn everyone in the room to cover their ears when your testing it. My wife tried them out and complained they weren't very loud. Turns out she wasn't blowing very hard. I took it and blew sharply and we nearly blew out our ears! It should work well in an emergency to signal for help.

It’s ok. I think there are probably better ones out there, or maybe my lungs need to practice blowing harder. I wonder how far the sound carries but I hope I never need to find out in situation on the water.
