Basic but amazing value
Having never owned a projector I had no expectations but was impressed by the image and the impact it had (coming from watching a 32" TV). The image is not super-sharp and the contrast is limited. However it is bright enough to use without complete darkness. We have streetlight coming through our front window and it's no problem for the projector however it wouldn't work in the day w/o blackout curtains. The image can be tilted for different projector heights (a greater adjustment for lower down than higher up). The problem is that the keystone adjustment makes it impossible to get the whole image in focus. There is no zoom so the only way of adjusting the image size is by changing the distance from the screen. You need to have the projector exactly perpendicular to the wall at the height of the image centre and at a precise distance from your screen. This might be where you wanted to sit...I would not recommend using the projector's speaker; it's pretty feeble. Even with extermal speakers, you can hear the fan during quiet scenes which can be distracting in some movies. The easiest way to connect is with a hdmi connection to a laptop or chromecast (or equivalent) to plug in to the back to play from phone/ipad. Also easy to play videos and view images on a flash drive pluged into the USB.In brief this is a great first projector, successfully creating the feel of being in a cinema at home but without much expense.

Really great portable affordable projector, surprisingly good!
Bought this little gem to allow outdoor viewing whilst chilling on the patio. I also bought a fold-able screen (pictured) and projected onto that.Projector came sooner than I expected. I had previously bought a small white and yellow projector from ebay (£40) which was utter rubbish with a 240 resolution, it was like watching in bitmap. This GooDee was purchased to replace that, and oh my days, what a difference. Set up was a breeze, take out of box, plug it in and turn it on. I connected it to my laptop using the provided (thank you) HDMI cable and changed the display to HDMI input, in the projector menu. Immediately I had glorious 100 inches of TV on the side of my shed. It was dark outside, the image was very clear, even with some aggressive keystone input I needed which is incredibly easy and user friendly. We watched some YouTube and Netflix, both of which were very clear and had easy to read projected subtitles. To add context… I have an Epson projector mounted in my lounge (ceiling, so not easily portable). This cost almost 9 times as much as this GooDee, and I'd say that the picture on the Goodee would give the Epson some run for it's money, or perhaps better put… spending 9 times more for the picture quality that this projector can manage simply isn’t worth it for it’s purpose. It’s above my expectations, which is great, plus it's a LOT quieter. Build feels solid. All in all I am really happy with the purchase and would recommend to my friends and family. Looking forward to lots of winter evenings under a blanket (or in the hot tub) watching HD telly!

Great budget projector
I bought this as a Christmas present to the family as a bit of fun so we can have movie nights. I'd seen reviews on YouTube and thought for the price it was worth a punt. I wasn't disappointed - The projector is compact and a sleek design and is easy to set up and operate and gives a decent image on a big 120 inch screen that I also bought. Resolution and colours are even better if you reduce the screen size. Don't get me wrong, this is a budget projector and wouldn't work well in daylight, but in a darkened room, it is very good value for money. It has a standard mount on the bottom and I used an old camera tripod I have to put it on when using which works very well.I connect up to a firestick (but will connect to any HDMI or USB device). Found it really useful to be able to connect the power to the firestick from the USB port on the projector, so no need to use the USB plug that comes with the firestick.Comes shipped HDMI and audio cables to connect to external devices. I use the 3.5mm headphone socket on the back of the projector to connect to soundbar and it works really well. The projector has its own built in speaker that would be ok if using in a small room such as a child's bedroom, but would recommend connection to an external speaker source to get the best sound quality especially if watching movies in larger rooms. In summary, a great little budget projector that works really well. Ideal for a kids bedroom as an alternative to a TV, or in a larger family room, not a permanent solution, but just for a bit of fun.Hope you find this review usefulPhil.

Impressive Goodee 5500 Lumens
As a novice to the world of projectors I did my homework by scanning the many reviews online to find the best one for my budget and needs. The GooDee 5500 lumens seemed to be the one and at £99 through Amazon it made it even more attractive. From the point of opening the box it has the look and feel of a projector worth easily more than the price I paid. The instructions are simple and clear and the equipment is very easy to set up. I used the white walls in my home gym to test the quality of the picture (as my screen has not arrived yet) I was impressed with the quality of the picture played through my DVD player even onto the wall surface and with the outside sun shining through the window. What impressed me the most was the quality of the sound from the built in speaker, it really took me by surprise. In fact I had dug out some old speaker in anticipation of needing them - clearly not. I am also impressed with the number of ports at the rear of the projector allowing the use of many different multimedia options. I have mounted mine on a camera tripod I had knocking around which makes it easy to adjust position of the projector. This was made easy by the screw thread underneath the projector - clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design. I bought this so the family can enjoy some movie nights in the garden - I am looking forward to inviting the neighbours round so they can enjoy this great product too. If you want a projector that delivers excellent quality for a small price then look no further 10 out of 10.
