Brainerd 64772 Beaded Double Toggle Switch Wall Plate / Switch Plate / Cover, Brushed Satin Pewter

After a kitchen facelift, we needed some finishing touches, and these Brainerd switchplates and outlet covers were just what we needed. They are very dark brown/bronze with some of the rub marks characteristic of oil-rubbed bronze finishes. I especially like the raised beading on the edges - it just adds that minor design touch that raises the item from something boring to something beyond the norm. These are a substantial weight and do not seem cheaply made. We ordered a total of probably 14 switchplates and outlet covers and all were of a consistently good quality and clean finish. One outlet was a little too close to the granite backsplash, necessitating my husband doing a little minor grinding of the bottom edge so that it would fit. The grinding did not harm the cover or expose any shiny cheap edge or anything like that. Overall we are extremely happy with these products and would recommend them without hesitation. The prices are much lower than those in home improvement or hardware stores for this weight and quality. I will mention again that the color is very deep, not very bronzish, closer to a black. This was what I wanted, but those looking for the reddish-brownish bronze should keep this in mind.

The wall plates are strong and look expensive. We were very pleased with the quantity.

Excellent quality switch plate cover. The design has a beaded border around the plate and if you look closely you can see the brush marks or scratches that show the lighter color through the bronze finish. They go really well with the other bronze fixtures in our home and match our decor perfectly. They add class to the home and we tried to order them for every switch on the main level. We considered switching out the switches to darker ones instead of white, but we decided we like the white more and it saved us the hassle and money. The screws are dark and match the bronze so the only white you see is the actual switch. There are a couple we just need to clean and replace but will stick with white. Overall we love these covers, they really make the house look nice.

This really adds a touch of class. It is well made, heavy piece of metal. Everything lines up perfectly and it has matching screws. I love the simple lines of this and the beading around the edges. The edges have a lovely look of darker next to lighter copper color. The main plate is definitely coppery looking with hints of red. A warm touch that goes well with my light almond/beige painted walls and medium brown trim. I was debating between this one and the venetian bronze color. The reason I like this one better is because the beading and the other little details are easily visible in ordinary light. I am posting a photo of it against my beige walls. Finding this on amazon at 50% discount is nice too!

Hey, It's an Electrical Outlet Cover. How nice will it ever look? These covers are the most elegant, heavy duty, cost effective way to enhance an outlet I've ever seen.. I bought 85.00 worth and was a little worried one of the screws would be missing per another review. I found all the covers nicely packaged with all the screws intact,. Beware, don't rip them open, cut them open with scissors at one end and carefully remove or the screws can go flying to unknown places, especially if you rip them open over a garbage can. You may find some of the screws a tad long and they bottom out when screwing them in place, back them back out, grind them to proper length and replace. If you don't have any basic skills or patience hire it done.

I also purchased the Brainerd 64410 Beaded Single Duples Wall Plate / Switch Plate / Cover, so I'll leave the same review on both.1. Product is made from brass, is heavy, looks great in the packaging and even better on my wall.2. The finish of the product is stellar. It looks very expensive, tho, as you can see, is not.3. I have white light switches and plug sockets. I'm not sure adding grey, pink, or black sockets/plug switches would make this look any better. In my opinion the product looks great with white.As much as I like these, I'll be buying more for the future for use around my town. The brass is easily going to last a long time, and resist oils from people's hands, or dirt. If so, it will be easy to clean.

This is a high quality switch plate. It's made of heavy, cast metal, nicely finished, with no voids, and smooth edges. This product has a finish color I would describe as a dark cappuccino color, with some distressing that looks a bit like scratch marks, which reveal a more copper color underneath. The screws are a good match. I can't say if this product is a good match for any other vendor's light or socket plates, so if you are concerned about matching this plate to other plates in the room, you might consider buying all plates from this company. It is a good (if not exactly identical) match with the dark brown switches, I used LeGrande. Made in China.

We purchased several of these (single decorator wall plate, double toggle switch plate, single duplex outlet plate, and single toggle switch plate). I'm not sure what I am reading here about the finish/color ('It's black, but not black enough.') We purchased all of these in Venetian Bronze and love them. Our home is arts and crafts style and these beautifully accent the walls.The plates are all seriously weighted and SO much better than the garbage I've found in stores. The patina is consistent and, as others have noted screws are provided that match the plate.Highly recommended!

The quality of the product is great. I purchased several from a local department store and later decided to continue wall plate replacement throughout home. I bought one to check it out and see how it works in my main living room. It's all metal and love old great. I even like it with the white switches poking through.The scratches: I do t know what the manufacturer was thinking. Maybe that it will make it look rustic or something. You can't see them except up close; within three inches. I don't mind them and will buy again when Amazon sells them again :( I need more!

As part of a mini house remodel I needed some new face plates for the light switches because the old yellowing white ones just were not going to cut it. I love the richness of the color and they look wonderful against the freshly painted walls. The husband loves them too and wants to replace the whole house with them. Great buy! They fit flush with the wall and installing them was simple.

I ordered the double switch wall plate for our newly renovated bathroom. We recently put in the new double switch (one switch for vanity light, and one switch for the ventilation fan/light). The switches looked a bit wider/thicker than most of the other switches in our house, so I was a little concerned that they were going to be too wide to fit into the cut-outs on this wall plate. But they weren't. They fit perfectly, and the plate looks amazing! It's got the perfect rubbed bronze look: a nice amount of "brush strokes" and nice bronze colors (not too dark like other brands can be). Get this. You'll love it.
