I like this grinder at first I didn't really want to spend the money but glad I did, money well spent .. it performs and out performs All my Grinders very impressive grinder .. I had lots but this one and model has been the Top choice now ..

Owned it for a couple of years now. This is a brushless, corded, variable speed tool. The biggest change I've noticed relative to a brushed angle grinder is the speed doesn't change when the grinder is loaded -- unless you overload it and it cuts out, which is not a big deal. You can set the speed and put in quite a bit of cutting force, for instance with a diamond tipped metal blade and cutting black steel pipe, it cuts through it whereas my 4.5 inch brushed angle grinder would bog and struggle.And that's it. It can maintain torque without losing speed. And it makes a big difference. The cut-out feature is good for safety but I'm sure someone out there will be complaining about it, but you won't need to push it that hard for it to cut fast.

Bought this because it was variable speed and had on/off trigger switch. The on off switch is a slide switch which is extremely dangerous for use with a cutting wheel. Not Amazons fault, it is the Dewalt description. Returning.

High quality, and adjustable speed.

Used it lightly in a steel shop. No longer works. Like it shorted out. Something this expensive should not break under standard use, especially in under 40 days.
