HOT HOT HOT
Wow, I love spicy I have for about 15 to 20 years now I have built up a big tolerance over the years to the point my forehead can be sweating profusely from the spice even though my mouth and body are ok with it. I have been looking for a good powder or crushed pepper to sprinkle as I was getting tired of all the sauces that changed the flavor of my foods so much. I bought this and put a dab on my finger and put it on my tongue. I instantly smiled, it kicked my butt, mainly because I wasn't expecting it to I didn't give it the respect it deserved. Since then I have been sprinkling over most of my meals, it doesn't really change the flavor too much just adds a good bit of spice exactly what I was looking for a great product for heat lovers. I will be putting this one in the keep pile next to the dave's insanity.

Excellent Chili Powder!
We found out about Ghost Chili while on a trip and after trying some we just had to buy it for cooking. The price for what you get here is outstanding. This 3oz bottle will easily last us a year perhaps 2. We use it for just about everything to add a little bit or a lot of kick to food. You do need to be cautious with it as the powder is VERY strong. We use about 1/8 of a teaspoon to spice up about 1.2 lbs of meat for fajitas or even in spaghetti sauce. This adds a good spice, not too much or little in our opinion. The nice thing about this powder is the taste is that it packs a nice kick but doesn't alter the taste of food nearly as much as hot sauce or other ingredients. In fact its the best chili powder I've ever used to add spice to food without altering the flavor much at all.I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to add as much spice to their food as they could possible desire. Just be warned to use it in moderation or suffer the consequences :) I highly recommend this product and will buy it again when we start to run low.

Not "bhut jolokia" hot, but good stuff
Maybe they have inconsistent batches? I've tasted a real bhut jolokia pepper before and that was insane. This stuff is kind of smoky, and while it is hot, it's not at all on the same level. on a 1-10 heat scale with a normal bhut jolokia at 10, this would be around a 7. Pretty close to habanero territory.I'll try and get in contact with the seller and see if I can get another jar.

I love this stuff!
The hotest pepper on the planet that hasn't been genetically altered.I took a cup of sour cream, 1/2 tsp of this stuff and 2 tbsp of chipotle and mixed them up - called it dragon breath dip - the thing is it's hot when you first eat it, but sweet as it goes down. UNTIL YOU STOP. Then you can breathe fire!!!So, this spice has now become my go-to flavor for anything that just doesn't have enough flavor for me. Don't get it on your hands, in your eyes, and DONT BREATH IT IN - unless you like to sneeze for a few hours!

This stuff is Hot....
I like it but the family hates it it. I can't use it at the dinner table it's too hot for the girls. They complain that the fumes are too much. I like it and use it on nearly everything. It's ground so fine that the fumes really spread in the air and lets others know whats up. It will get thier attention for sure. It is a little pricy but you don't mind when you feel the heat so I suppose that it will work out in the end.

A smoky, well-tempered heat with a few flaws
A nice smoky flavor and substantially, though not blistering, hot. I have found it to be very good in soups and anything with liquid. However, drier dishes often don't seem to release the flavor or heat well enough. So it hasn't been as good on things like burritos, wraps, or sandwiches. The heat is only noticeable once in the stomach.A few drawbacks to this format. First, the powder is very fine. Inevitably it gets into the air and your sinuses, even if applied very close to the food. Combined with the large holes in the shaker, it will be very difficult for the timorous to apply judiciously. You'll need another container or to seal off some of the holes. Finally, the smoky flavor sometimes overpowers and, rather than just adding heat, changes the nature of the dish too much.Despite some of the flaws, I'll probably keep a bottle of this around. Though the price seems fairly steep, it goes a long way and provides readily accessible heat for a variety of meals.

Great flavor and heat
This is a must have for me now. I never have pizza without it.Allows you to make food as hot as you want and it adds that great smoky Ghost Pepper flavor.a little goes a long wya so don't let the price scare you, it takes a lot of peppers to fill that jar.Now I have a way to add some extra heat when the sauce I am using doesnt have enough( I am looking at you Jalapeno sauces)The powder is amaxing, give it a try

Hotter then hot!!!
As expected, this powder is HOT and packs a great punch. Only wish I had thought to look for it online earlier as I had been using much milder Habanero powder. How hot? Unlike Habanero powder which stings in the eyes but didn't burn the skin too much, this Ghost pepper powder will actually make the skin on your face burn like a medium sunburn. After sprinkling it on pizza or into a good soup, your fingers become a deadly weapon, though mostly you are a threat only to yourself.Needless to say, I will be ordering more when this one runs out.I got 1 ounce of ground dry ghost pepper off a plant I grew on my balcony last summer in Canada on a good summer, so this single container is the equivalent of 3 end season plants and ground far better then one could ever get in a mortar and pestle.

Good hot powder
This is pretty hot, not as hot as I was hoping but certainly among the Top 3 of the hottest ones I have tried. The other thing I like this powder is the original taste (a bit of earthy taste), unlike some others called themselves hottest in the world...911...etc, and I always found those a joke, because they are always with too much sugar or vinegar...Update Mar 2015:The second bottle got delivered to me last night!!! :-)Although UPS delivered it 3 days after the estimated delivery date, I am ok - worth the wait.

Good raccoon repellant
I mix this with cheap canola oil and spread it on sheets of foil on the landing of my deck, where the raccoons had decided to poop. It seems to be working at keeping them at bay. It's REALLY hot! I know that because I discovered the hard way that I need to wear a mask over my nose and mouth as well as gloves when I mix up my "anti-raccoon" concoction. But it does seem to be working.
