Nikon FSA90601 Remote Speedlight SB-R200 for Close-up-Black

I've been using this speedlight as part of a Nikon CLS operation with a D700 operating as the master flash (fill) controlling one SB900, and this SB-R200. So far, it's all been portrait work. I'm using the 200 as a back, highlight flash. What's to say? It works well for a close in flash. It is always sitting within 10 feet of its target and I get reliable illumination on every shot. It integrates well with CLS allowing me to control output from the camera.

Great flash, in manual mode will light a subject brightly at three hundred feet. Has performed flawlessly for three years now, and I would certainly purchase another of this one ever goes out. I've dropped it on hard surfaces several times without apparent damage, either physical or in the way it operates. Works perfectly as a master or slave when used with Nikon's creative lighting.

As a professional photographer this works really well, it is briliant and enables me to take great close up images with my 100mm lens, when enlarged to 40x60 inches my canvas prints look fantastic.

In all fairness the unit that I purchased was the wrong unit for the intended camera; the camera was the nikon p7000; flash unitdidn't fit, so in all fairness, I could not rate the flash."The only reason that you do see a rateing is the review would not close outwithout one! Fotojock

I own a Nikon D200 wich I use when I need light with a Nikon sb-800. Recently I bought 2 units of the SB-R200 and they work perfectly together. It is very friendly to use and It allows to create multiple lighting conditions.

Have two already, bought this one to add more flexibility to lighting. Used for dental clinical & lab macrophotography.

Works as advertised but the fitting for attachment is custom made which makes it difficult to use on some arms that are attached to the camera if you wanted to use them con connected to the camera then one must make some kind of bespoke way of connecting them. They can be individually adjusted for output via Nikon wireless system and have channel and group changing buttons and a small lamp for pre flash testing of shadows on subject ( output balance). not very powerful but they are meant for macro work an close quarters.

Adds extra light and functionality to the R1C1 kit. You only need to buy the positioning adapter if you need it as this comes with the stand

Tengo dos para fotos de odontología. No soy fotógrafo sino odontólogo y por eso no puedo dar una opinión muy técnica ya que los ajustes que hacemos con los flashes son siempre los mismos siguiendo las guías de otros profesionales. En nuestro caso lo que necesitamos son siempre las mismas condiciones de iluminación y por lo tanto no he explorado las muchas posibilidades que estos flashes tienen para conseguir diferentes niveles de exposición y sombras.Con respecto a equipos de flash para Odontología la calidad de imagen, matices, sombras que consigues con un flash twin como este está muy por encima de lo que se consigue con los clásicos flashes anulares que se usaron tradicionalmente, que daban una iluminación totalmente plana y sin relieves.El único defecto que le veo a este flash es que el tipo de pila/batería elegido es difícil de conseguir y cara. Yo he conseguido por internet unas recargables que funcionan aceptablemente bien, pero las pilas no recargables son carísimas, además de que no las tienen en todos los sitios.

Justo lo que necesitaba para hacer macro y retrato.Son pequeños y ligeros. Vienen sin batería (CR123A).Compré dos y el manual que se adjunta (que es el del kit R1C1) me vino en Alemán en uno y en Francés en el otro :(Se encuentran fácilmente en internet en inglés.
