Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw (DVD) [2019]

Great movie and is part of the fast & Furious collection, so if you're a fan of car chases and lots of action, I highly recommend you buy this and if haven't watched them I suggest u start from the first one as these movies are highly addictive go watch.

Love the F&F films! Great storyline from start to finish. A must see. Glad I bought the dvd!

First off, what I disliked about this movie, and the only real thing. The bad guy. Idris Elba is a good enough actor but I am not a fan, so I’m already biased against him, and the character is so ridiculously written that I found him a bit annoying. As he calls himself he isn’t akin to a “black superman” and seems like he would be more at home in an Avengers or X-Men movie than this.Having said that, I enjoyed this movie a lot. The acting was strong and the comedy, in most parts, was brilliant. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham seem to have really good chemistry which brought the characters, and the friction between them, to life. There was plenty of explosions and fights and gun play. There was even a part where they went to Samoa and had some Samoans fight alongside them, without guns. This seemed stupid at the time, but when I saw it played out on screen, I actually appreciated it. They had to outsmart and out fight their enemy, at least for a while.It’s not a cerebral movie. It’s from the fast and furious franchise (obviously) which are also not exactly made to make you think. I mean this in a good way, you put on the movie and lose yourself in it for a couple hours.Enjoy the action and laugh at the stupid jokes. If you didn’t like Hobbs or Shaw from the Fast & Furious movies, (in which case why would you buy a movie called Hobbs and Shaw?) this won’t make you change your mind. It brings nothing new to the characters really, so you should go in already liking them to appreciate this in its fullest.There’s a kind of funny after credits scene as well, so stay tuned for that!

If you are looking for a good fun action movie without a complicated plot then this is the movie for you. There is a good mix of action and humour. The chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham is even better than the previous films. Vanessa Kirby is amazing as a kick ass Hattie. Even more exciting for me is they filmed the bad guys lair at the Mclaren Technology Centre which as I've been lucky enough to visit it it brought back good memories.Overall its a film I'm always going to enjoy watching. Yes the story line is a bit silly but it is a Fast and Furious movie so that is why you watch them!

To be honest I saw this on television recently but it was spoilt by the constant advert breaks so I brought this to enjoy without any breaks. To have to buy it to enjoy it perhaps says it quite a good film! (I leave the actual film review to the critic, who are paid to do so as its their supposed living or job - I know what I like otherwise I wouldn’t buy it - nuff said?) - that apart, its a good film and as good as the grievous ones in the series - roll on the next one!

Fantastic

Great banter between statham and the rock. Whoever would have thought shaw had a sister? And she's just as bad ass as her brother. The bond between her and hobbs looks like there could be more between them, which would be brilliant because it could be so awkward for Dec, but could also spark an unlikely brotherhood that no one would ever expect. The cliffhanger at the end was a bit annoying, but that just leaves fans looking forward to the follow up film that I hope won't take much longer to release.
