Good magnet. Has to have full contact.
Used to remove tool from bottom of pond. Was not sure about claims of power so did a quick test. Put magnet on flat unpainted steel and attached spring weighing gauge to it. Tried pulling and got up to 80lb then gave up worried about magnet shooting off when it eventually gave way. Is strong but only on flat unpainted surface and fully in contact with the steel. Partial contact partial strength.

terrible, not as strong as shown, connected with something, broke the magnet sending parts of it everywere and cut my finger an hour after arrival
