Great product for a cheep fix!
Great budget-friendly fix — worked exactly as promised!I’m really impressed with the Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit. It worked exactly as described — the crack in my windshield is now barely visible, and more importantly, it has stopped spreading. The application process was surprisingly easy, even for someone who’s never done a windshield repair before. The instructions were clear, the resin applied smoothly, and it cured quickly in the sunlight. While I wouldn’t say the results are quite the same as a professional repair, for the price and convenience, this kit is an excellent option. It’s a great value for anyone looking to fix a chip or crack on a budget. I especially appreciate that it saves you time and money by avoiding a trip to the repair shop, and it gives you the satisfaction of doing it yourself. If you’re looking for an affordable, easy-to-use solution to stop a windshield crack from getting worse, I’d highly recommend giving this kit a try.

Quick Fix for Windshield Chips
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I recently tried the Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit and I was blown away by how easy and effective it was at fixing the chips on my windshield. The whole process was quick and hassle-free, saving me time and money from going to a professional repair shop. The kit comes with clear instructions that are simple to follow, making it perfect for DIY enthusiasts like myself. After using it, the chips on my windshield were almost invisible, greatly improving visibility while driving. I love how it saved me from having to replace the entire windshield, and I highly recommend this kit to anyone dealing with similar issues. The only downside is that it may not work as effectively on larger cracks, but for small chips, it works like a charm!

Cheap easy fix
Easy to use and instructions were clear. However the directions differed slightly when it came to the plunger but otherwise the results turned out great. Went from a bullseye to a chip.

Better than before, but not great
Imagine my frustration when my windshield gets chipped and cracked 6 weeks after replacing it. Perks of living in Arizona! This product worked on the smaller chip, and made a difference. for the larger chip and associated star line cracks it did not work as well as I would have hoped. It spread into the crack lines but left air bubbles, even after repeating steps 4 and 5 of the instructions in an attempt to eliminate the air bubbles. Better than nothing, and I hope this prevents and protects it from growing into a full on non-repairable crack. Cheaper than using a professional or needing to replace the windshield again sometime soon. We will see how durable it ends up being.

Contact to windshield is a significant failure point
I’ve successfully used similar diy kits in the past that use an adhesive dome and a true alternating vacuum/pressure method. Those products were single use so I thought I would try this having 2 new dings: a star and bullseye and save a few dollars. Bad idea. Everything went per instructions EXCEPT the injection effectivenessGetting a good seal on the glass with the applicator tube was very finicky. The rainX product uses a suction frame which is supposed to hold a dispenser tube in place but it was not effective in creating a good seal. It either leaked or danced around (leaking more) while getting the tension just right. Injecting the resin relies on a combination of gravity and positive injection pressure to work the resin in. The vacuum method that this does not use effectively is the technique that helps minimize crack spread. The instructions encourage you to use a heat source or gently press on your windshield to help it along if it doesn’t fully fill. I could see the cracks slightly starting to extend so that was obviously a bad idea. The resin couldn’t get deep into the cracks without making the crack worse.I reworked the star ding 4-5 cycles per the instructions and could never get the resin worked into the tendrils. It is now sealed but still very visible. Bullseye had similar results.Removal of the contraption was messy so have a shop cloth or old tee shirt ready. Resin doesn’t absorb well into paper towels.Saw other reviewers videos and photos and they had the same problem yet rated it 4s and 5s. I guess I know the quality can be higher?Alternative products may be a bit more expensive but the results are significantly better than this.

takes away the big chip in the middle almost completely! can use for bigger chips/spiders too!
wow, it really works! the rock chip i had was actually bigger than a quarter and the spiders were bigger but i figured i'd try anyway. the big "chip" is now a tiny little dot and the spiders are now super light and hard to see! husband who applied this said it was easy (he watched a video on youtube) and my daughter who also has used it said it was easy to apply. expect a tiny dot in place of the rock chip. it's really super cool and great and i'm very impressed!

Excellent kit—works great with clear instructions
I recently bought this and was impressed from the start. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow—step-by-step guidance made the process smooth and stress-free. It worked remarkably well on the small chips I had, sealing and reinforcing them quickly. I followed all the instructions carefully, including the curing process in sunlight, and the resin filled the damage solidly. The kit includes everything you need, and the resin formula seems tough and reliable. It’s a great value—no need to pay for a pro when a DIY solution works this well. Highly recommended if you're dealing with minor windshield issues and want something effective and user-friendly.

Worth a try, cheaper than a new windshield.
Doesn't work EXACTLY as advertised; says it will fill in the crack and make it "disappear". didn't work that way for me but it does appear to have stopped the cracking. Time will tell. Certainly a lot less expensive than a new windshield. Reasonably easy to apply.
