I knew this would impress my boyfriend the stand is plastic but the knives are excellent quality.

Despite the x wing being made of plastic, let's face it, it looks bloody awesome the knives are pretty good and you get to have an x wing in your kitchen... Buy it and everyone will be jealous because your knife block is cooler than there's.Only down side is my children really want to play with it... So sell your kids and keep the knives... Fixed!!

Was very excited to get this as I have seen it go up and down in price and had saved, disappointed that the knife block is plastic for the money I paid I would have expected this to be metal.

It's fine and everything but the thing is I'm gonna need a long magnetic screw drive to set it up and I don't have it so I'm gonna have to ask someone or buy one. I like the way it look, it's quite bigger than I thought. Maybe should be costing around 30-50 pound for this one. 65 is maybe quite too much but hey it's Star Wars product I'm gonna be proud of it. :)

Brilliant product - bought for my fiance who loves star wars and who is usually very difficult to buy for - he absolutely loved this and it was a big hit! I would recommend it for any star wars fan. We found it very fiddly to fix the screw but with a long magnetic screwdriver shouldn't be too hard.

This is something you should own if an avid Star Wars fan. It's quirky and is a real feature in the kitchen. It will need a bit of space surrounding it due to its design but a great product

For the money its a bit rubbish frankly. The x-wing fighter is made of chromed plastic and seems pretty fragile - very lightweight. So for the price this is nothing short of poor for the money. It does look okay (for now) and was well received as a present as this was what was wanted...wouldn't have shelled out otherwise.

RRP 79.99? You must be having a laugh - this thing is an utter disgrace. The base and X-Wing are made from the cheapest, tackiest plastic I have ever seen. It comes with two minuscule screws that are somehow meant to screw into a soft, threadless plastic knife holder with maybe a few millimeters of contact. So not only was I barely able to fasten it together but it simply did NOT hold without wobbling about, coming loose and eventually detaching itself -- and that's BEFORE the knives had been inserted. Of course, you'd think that would make it worse, what with the extra weight of metal and all. Think again. The knives are thin, hollow, featherweight pieces of unusable junk. They would literally bend and snap with the weakest application of pressure. And god only knows how rapidly they would completely lacerate the soft plastic holder after a only few weeks of use.I bought this product for my housemates birthday who is a big fan and I was literally too embarrassed to give it to her. It's an utter disgrace to the Star Wars franchise. I could imagine the whole product cost little more than 5 quid to produce, so someone out there must be sipping cocktails with a pretty big grin.I will be seeking a refund and am going to make it my mission to see that no one else wastes their hard earned money on such abysmal garbage.
