When a sculpture is casted from bronze, it is made in a shell first. Most likely, this sculpture was casted from scaled down version of that cast. What does that mean for you? You actually have a finely crafted sculpture, made the same way ones in museums are. How cool is that!This sculpture is so beautiful, and at a really affordable price. It comes highly recommended from. I just finished a year in a European Art history course and and I am an art lover. I've been to museums such as MOMA, The Met, and the John Ringling Institute.

I've been looking for a small duplicate of Rodin's "The Thinker" statue, but I didn't care to break the bank and spend over $100. For the price, this is actually quite a solid piece. I was anticipating an inferior quality of material, but that isn't at all the case. (I've never ordered a "powder cast" product before.) It actually does feel like metal and has a substantial degree of accompanying weight to it. I would describe it as surprisingly adequate. Very true to its description. At 9.75" tall, this adds the perfect touch to my home office desk - both in its decor and inherent symbolism.

This just arrived (came from overseas), it's fantastic! My son (29) loves it! At first he was like "what is this"? Then realized it was the Thinking Man! We had a lot of fun with this at Christmas, just poking jokes about some of the "detail" on it's lower half! It's a great piece, made very well and is very nice for him to display on his desk at work. Would highly recommend!

poor quality, unsatisfactory to give as a gift. My husband had always liked this statue but upon seeing the mediocre quality of the sculpture, not sure what to do with it.

Fair quality but not great. The seam is visible if you are looking for it. In fact you can see it in the second preview pic of the item, in the base and also in the thigh. Hiding that seam is basically the only challenging part about making cast molds, so it's a sign of poor quality and unskilled workmanship that it's not better hidden.

good reproduction; excellent price; but the reproduction should have been black rather than a bronze like color.

Love the look of the thinker. quality product, detailed, well designed & heavy/solid I have two, and am going to get the skeleton thinker (same thinker, only as a skeleton). Unique!!!
