Excellent case and superb fit and finish.The kick stand is great and when not in use it stays on the back giving another layer of protection. Very solid feel without being overly bulky. Fits in your hand well and isn't too glossy or slick.THE case to get for your Galaxy.**** Update ****Almost 2 and and a half years later and the case is still keeping our Tab 3 safe!The case has protected it against more drops than I can remember and even survived being chewed on my our puppy. I have no idea why the dog thought it was a toy but he left a bunch of bite marks on the bottom of the case. The tablet is completely unscathed though.One small gripe is that over time the tabs that hold the hard plastic inner case together have broken so it doesn't quite snap in place properly and the outer shell doesn't fit perfectly anymore. The case definitely looks worn but has kept this old tablet working!

The OtterBox Defender Series is a durable, high quality case for the Galaxy Tab 3 7" tablet. While certain durable-case companies do not have an offering for the Tab 3 7", we did have a few options to choose from. My wife and I have been very satisfied with the Defender cases we have for our Galaxy S4 phones, so we decided to purchase this case, even though the cost was more than a few other options.The case is easy to disassemble and assemble around the tablet. The tablet is first covered completely by a two piece hard-polycarbonate shell and that snaps together. One component of the Defender series vs. other OtterBox cases is that part of the hard shell is a built in clear plastic screen protector. While at first I was worried about touch-response time with this option, I have not had any issues with browsing, sliding, apps or games on either my phone or tablet. The screen protector does show smudges very easily, so I find myself quickly cleaning it quite often.An exterior slip cover is then attached over the back and sides of the shell. This provides a sleek look to the case, provides a nice textured back to hold onto, and cushions falls if the tablet is dropped. While we have not dropped the tablet, my phone in the same model case has been both dropped multiple times and tossed around by a two year old, without a scratch, dent or malfunction of any kind. My wife and I are confident in the durability of the case, and have let our two year old play with it without any concern.The stand is also a nice add-on. It has two positions, one more for surfing use when it is on a counter and you are sitting working at it or it is on your lap (low angle), and one for viewing a movie, tv show, etc... from a greater distance away (high angle). I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a durable, high quality case to protect their tablet that does not mind a little extra thickness being added to their overall product.

Awesome case, feels like I could just throw it down a few flights of stairs and it wouldn't get a scratch.Has survived two destructive toddlers and a grade-schooler for the last 7 months.The solid clip-on case (third layer of protection) works great as a stand and also can be flipped around to cover the front of the tablet for ultimate protection.All buttons work great, maybe a little hard to hit the home button sometimes but not a deal-breaker.This is what I expect from Otterbox.Now, please oh please make one for the Note 10.1 2014 edition!!! Everything else on the market is junk!

I've ordered otterboxes in the past and the quality remains top notch. To prove that fact, like I did with my phones, I threw my tablet at the door. No issues, as was expected. The screen protector is great and seems as if it isn't even there when using my Tab. I like the covers over the headphones and charging ports.Pros: Comfortable Feel Durable Durable DurableCons: It'd be nice if it was a little cheaper. I paid more for the case than I did for my tablet

Perfect for the klutz in your family. We use our tab as a remote control so it would only be a matter of time before it hit the ground from fumbling hands. More expensive than I'd of liked but you typically get that with Otterbox. The rubber shell that wraps around the hard plastic one is very good quality and you can feel the solid protection it provides. The rubber around the hard buttons takes some time to work in, but it are responsive. The screen protector (which is part of the case) does a wonderful job of protecting the screen and even deters fingerprints which is a big plus. All sensors, speakers and mics still work fine without obstruction.Biggest advice with this case: Work in a clean room when putting it on. Not just a room that's clean, but an actual CLEAN ROOM like they use for electronics assembly. We have 4 cats and it took me almost 2 hours to make sure every little speck and hair was not on the unit. Oh, you think it's clean until you put the case on and notice a white fleck dead center on your black screen. Then you have to disassemble the clamshell-like hard case (which is a huge pain without a small flathead or soft prying tool) and do it again.This unit also comes with a stand which we didn't really need but we use it since it's there. Actually comes in handy as it can provide two angles for the tablet. One stands it mostly vertical and is great for reading or watching movies while sitting. The other is about a 30-35 degree angle which is just right for aiming up at our TV and gadgets.Tablets are cheap anymore, but $150-300 is still something you want to protect. This case will absolutely do that.

I looked everywhere for an Otterbox case to protect my Samsung Tablet and even though I live in a big city I couldn't find anyone who carried the right model. I took a chance and checked Amazon and there it was. It was a very good price and arrived right away with no problems. I think Otterbox is the very best way to protect my devices and I wouldn't hesitate to shop through Amazon in the future for the best selection and the same and sometimes lower prices.

Bought it for protection, and it's perfect for that. It's very bulky, but that's clear from the pictures and description, so this should not be a surprise. Two issues: (1) after a year of VERY careful use, the outer rubber shell is not too snug at one of the corners; there's a little gap. No biggie I guess. (2) you definitely would not feel comfortable standing up your Samsung Tab 3 in the vertical position, as it stands at essentially a 90 degree angle. I do use it like that sometimes, but only if the surface is super flat, and it's really not meant for that position.UPDATE: After two years, I'm still using the case. The outer rubber is loose now - it doesn't fall off or anything, but it is a but warped at all corners and there is a one mm gap pretty much all around. Probably significantly lowers it's ability to protect against dust and water though. A bigger problem is that the plastic piece inside the case which pops up to serve as the backrest for the tablet is leaving a subtle, vertical scratch in the middle of the screen (I discovered that it happens when I walk - I can hear the folded backrest flopping around inside the case. Over time, it is leaving a scratch.). But I did drop the thing about three times so far from a height of a couple of feet off the ground (not intentionally, of course!)... and there is a tiny piece of plastic missing from the backrest, so maybe I damaged it. Still, it is a good case for this phone - and it has saved the phone's life about three times!

I'm only giving it a 3 until I hear from seller. Very nice case , arrived on time and packaged well. My problem is this case is 1/4 inch smaller than my tablet. Has anyone else had this problem? It was bought for a Samsung Galaxy tablet 3-7" and doesn't fit..Update. I gave this a 5 star now because the seller was great and returning it is no problem. I have a Galaxy tab lite so outside measurements differ so make sure when you are ordering covers you order for the lite..

It's good. Would've been nicer had the lid/cover been made of the polycarbonate housing in which the tablet sinks/rests. That part is a real beauty; strong and beautiful. That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars. All ports etc are very meticulously set in this cover !!!
