I love this little thing
I love this little thing! Great for measuring (of course) but also comes in handy for drawing straight lines in sketches, laying across different features to make sure everything is lined up, or even some light scraping in a pinch (i.e. stubborn pieces of tape or similar). It's the perfect thickness: thin enough to disappear in a pocket or bag, but thick enough that it feels strong and won't bend after being packed away. I also love that the end is ground to be accurate so I can just set it against things and take good measurements. The only thing I would change is that I really wish the 1/64 measurement (who uses that, anyway?) was replaced with something base 10, like 1/20 or 1/50. It would be much more useful when drawings call out inch measurements in decimal. Change this and it will be perfect!

i needed a rule that would read 64's and 32's, the lines could be a little darker.

Awesome ruler, terrible shipping price
I bought this ruler for guitar setup and I am extremely happy with its performance.CONSTRUCTION:The ruler is a bit flexible, but it is a very strong and quality ruler. It has crisp, clear, and accurate markings with imperial on one side and metric on the other. I just wish it had markings on the back of the ruler as sometimes it is a pain having to read it when setting up different parts of the guitar.PACKAGING:It arrived well packaged and was in perfect conditionPRICE:At $6.80 it is a steal, but with 6.94 for shipping that is a little steep. It would be just as easy to throw it in an envelope and mail it, it is compact and not heavy.CONCLUSION:I'd recommend this product, especially for guitar setup. I keep it in my case with my tuner, capo, and strings.

Does the job well, a solid value.
I bought this for the metric scale, to use with a Festool Domino. I'm happy! Made well enough, very easy to read markings clearly etched on satin chrome, at a very fair price. I have plenty of Starrett squares and rules, and the PEC is close enough for most uses in woodworking, at a much better price. Rumor has it, PEC is the OEM for a few larger woodworking tool brands. To my eyes, it sure looks like the rumor is true. Made in USA, to boot!Think a steel rule is a no brainer to make? How can you screw up a straight metal strip with markings? Take a look at the offerings in most home centers or hardware stores, then check out the PEC...

Not accurate!
This ruler is just not accurate! I wouldn't order this from here, you don't always get what you pay for.

not as precise as hoped
Rules like this are designed to measure accurately from the end of the bar, with no "dead space". However, the one I received has a first interval on the metric scale that is a little too small, so it has a negative "dead space". Measurements from this end of the rule are then too low by about 0.2 mm. This is not a huge error, but it's disappointing. Otherwise the quality seems OK.

workbench workhorse
Who doesn't need a good ruler? I got along with one of those plastic school-kid type rulers and kept my cm and mm conversion chart nearby to take the mearurements. Then I decided to get a grown up ruler and boy what a difference! No more scrambling around for ruler, chart, calculator, etc., no more wondering if that's a tick mark I see or a measuring mark. This little think has nice clear marks and goes down to 1/2 mm! Nifty little tool & a great price
