No you have to remove the butane before it will fit in case...yes I protrudes out back about an inch. Great stove...love it.

I’ve never run a can of fuel on any setting long enough for it to run out. The cans due seem to last much longer than you think they should. You can purchase them for between $1.25 - $5 so keep an extra one or two on hand and you could cook several meals over the course of a week and still have fuel left over.

Q: What is the smallest pot that will work with this in terms of diameter? Would a 4" diameter pot be too small for this?

The measurement from the tip of one of the "arms" that support your cooking vessel across the center of the burner to the tip of the opposite "arm" is exactly 3". I tested my stove with a tiny skillet whose bottom is exactly 4" before curving up the sides, and it will sit on these supports. I feel like this is the minimum size you could safely use, however. Also, it would be important that your stove is on a solid surface and would not have any chance of jiggling or getting bumped, or your pot might tip a little. Having used one of these stoves for a few years now, I would highly recommend it, and would suggest getting this mini stove soon, as they are much harder to find than the standard size stoves. There is no stove that is easier or more economical and dependable to use. I hope my response helped.

Q: Does the stove accept iwatani butane canisters?

It should accept any brand of canister that is 200-250 grams, tall (kind of shaped like a spray paint can), and that has a collar with a notch cut out of it for proper alignment.

Great stove. Just note the pan size limitations.

Great little stove. I’m mainly keeping it incase of emergency since my stove top is electric. Just did a test and everything worked swimmingly. One thing to note is the instructions say to avoid using a pot/pan that covers the fuel canister area, so you’re limited to smaller pans. But very happy with it!

I never thought it would be so small in size and have such powerful firepower. I'm cooking hot pot in a restaurant. However, I think this gas stove would be more suitable for camping.

Just buy it!!!

Great product! Worth its weight in gold, I used it the entire weekend for a family of 4! I used 1 can of propane . I cooked fried pork belly, Pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast and boiled water when I needed it. You can’t go wrong! Catch and cook on the spot with this portable stove, the bluegill was amazing! Very easy to use follow the directions in the case.

No black marks now! Small compact size.

Works better than my old one. I like the compact size, but it comes as a cost since you can’t store a bottle of butane in the case. My way too frequent power outages are made easier having an emergency stove. But my 20+ year old one was leaving carbon black all over my pans. It just thought that was normal until I looked it up. Larger pans probably won’t fit though.
