GOLDEN FIELD MHT CPU Cooler CPU Air Cooling Cooler with RGB Fan Heatsink for Intel LGA 1151/1150/1155/1156 Sockets & AMD AM4

Bought this for an older 1155 socket build. It does the job as well as a stock Intel cooler but then you get some nice cool colors to show off. For $13 you can’t beat it.Anyone complaining that it doesn’t keep their cpu ice cold doesn’t realize they spent $13 for an RGB cooler...It’s easy enough to install but it’s on the larger side. If you have a micro or itx board with only 2 RAM slots there is a chance one of those slots may not be usable.

I wanted to install this on an i7-6700 LGA-1151 processor, and I found it very easy to install, and even using 3DMark, kept the proc nice and cool. Well worth the money!(EDIT) I checked on the computer I installed this on and noticed the heatsink/fan had fallen off the processor. After opening it up, I discovered a latch on the bracket had apparently broken off on its own. I deducted two stars from my initial review to reflect this. I would have deducted more, but it has been over a year and a half since my initial review. Just be aware of this.

Good cheap cooler. Works great so far. Granted, I don’t need it to “cool” my CPU that much, just a bit. So maybe that’s why I like it, cause it works for what I need.

OK the heatsink looks very nice, but I had to remove the heatsink from my innermost stick of ram to get it to fit securely because of the width and the low profile. After installation my PC would only run for about four minutes before it would shut down with a CPU error caused by overheating. Turns out there is no piping in this heatsink. the fan just blows air down into the base and the base doesn't completely cover the CPU. I know what you're thinking but it was supposed to be compatible with AMD AM3+ CPUs. I learned my lesson though, no pipes no sale.

Installed in three minutes...looks beautiful forever!!

I bought the cheaper 95w version for about $14. It's a lot bigger than it looks in the picture, and the instructions on mounting the cooler were just meh. If you are installing this one an lga socket motherboard, what you need to do is put the little plastic right on first, stick the clear plastic tabs through the motherboard holes, and then you can push the black push pins through.

I like how the description says it works for intel 115x cpus and it didn’t have any kind of mounting hardware for that at all. Maybe mine didn’t come with any. It just had that little tab on the side that obviously mounts onto something. I’m assuming that maybe they think that you the consumer are one step ahead of them and already had one of those mounting brackets. I did have a mounting bracket for a zalman cooler that would have worked with this but didn’t like the idea of doing that. So back it went. I mean watch YouTube reviews of this brand. It’s laughable. I mean if you want to make some good content and have a laugh buy this brand.

Need a replacement for an older FX-6100 system and this fit the bill. Works just fine for basic use and gaming, I probably wouldn't overclock on it. Added some nice flair that my son certainly enjoys. Took me a minute to figure out the mounting on it, didn't realize that you have to pretty much push and bend it down into place, once I figured that out it was pretty simple.If by some chance I need to replace another AM3 cooler I'll definitely consider this again.Update: changed my rating to 3 stars - wasn’t adequate cooling for extended periods of use. Had to replace it - spend some extra for atleast a 4-5 pipe heatsink (Vetroo V5 is very good and affordable.)
