Moisturizing but not greasy. Works great under makeup!

Ok, maybe I'm crazy here but I have super sensitive skin and I really worried this would break me out, as I tried an Olay retinol cream once and it really didn't work well, made my skin feel really greasy. I did have a couple of very small breakouts since I've been using this HOWEVER I have also been using a variety of different night moisturizers on top of this, so honestly I think it's that I'm either layering too many moisturizing items at night, or it could be the other things I'm using because I feel like I had noticed minor breakouts previously when using one or two of them. Basically, I need to be better about trying things individually. If you're wondering why I'm giving it 5 stars despite the minor breakouts and not being able to 100% say it isn't this cream (although I'm like 98% certain), it's because after I'd been using this for only a few days I was startled one morning looking into the mirror, trying to figure out what looked so different. My skin looked so clear and smooth, but I didn't think that was it. Then I realized, the very minor lines/wrinkles I'd noticed previously that were forming around my mouth (smile lines, as people call them) were completely gone. I had only been using this for a few days so I don't know if this stuff works that quickly or what's going on--all I know is, after I started using this regularly day and night, I suddenly realized those wrinkles were gone and I didn't remember them being gone before. I'm not saying this stuff is miracle cream that will remove ALL THE WRINKLES EVER on a person's face, because that probably isn't possible. But if you have the small starts of lines like I do, jeez louise it seemed like this cleared that right up. Funny thing is, I wasn't even using this cream for that reason, so that's why it totally surprised me. Also, after I purchased this, I got an email from the company giving me tips on how to use it and providing me contact information if I need it for any reason. I really, really appreciate companies that do that through Amazon, because it would be so easy to see us as faceless consumers on such a huge site. ALSO, when you get the actual cream, on the back on the directions it tells you how to use it but it also tells you that retinol increases sun sensitivity so you should use sunscreen daily. I am so thankful that they added that bit of info because I've had products now and then with retinol in it, and none of them have ever said a word about that. For me with my super sensitive and pale skin, that's really important information because I burn really quickly. I usually try to use sunscreen anyway but on weekends when I'm running out to walk my dog, I might have otherwise forgotten to throw on some sunscreen and might have run around with only the retinol cream on my face. Overall, I'm really impressed with the company, their thoughtfulness in both the directions and reaching out to the customers, and unless I'm going crazy, this stuff took away smile lines I didn't even think about having disappear. I'm definitely going to keep using it and see if the breakouts stop after I change up my other items or maybe don't go so overboard at night with multiple creams and with leftover stuff in my hair like sea spray or whatnot. (My skin is so sensitive that just using hairspray and having that fall on my face breaks me out, and if I get it on my pillow case at night and that gets on my face it breaks me out, etc, so that's why I'm pretty sure this cream is not at all involved in the minor breakouts recently because I'd been doing a lot of other things lately that I know do break me out). If I end up having some massive reaction or determine somehow this cream really is terrible for my skin I'll update this, but otherwise so far I'm really happy with it.

I just finished my second full bottle and there are no dramatic differences (the first 2 weeks only), BUT I didn't have any real issues per se, just dry skin patches and some mild marks from old breakouts. I use it PM only, after my C Serum, the followed by the Inisfree Green Tea Seed Sleeping Pack. In the morning I rinse my fave with rice water only, then use C- Serum followed by Obagi Exfoderm, eye cream and then Revision TruPhysical Intellishade sunblock. The little spots of dark skin under my eyes are still present, as are beginnings of fine lines. Both have not lessened in any way but my skin is more even toned and pores are clear and overall healthy. Overall I have a glow that, without my tinted sunblock, does not require blush. My skin just looks super healthy. It is a great moisturizer in the PM - soaks right in - and has zero scent. I will continue to use this. The texture of my skin feels great and I have had zero breakouts, so maybe it is helping there too?

I rarely leave reviews, mostly because I'm lazy, but this cream needs its praises sung! Being a lazy individual, I rarely take care of my skin the way I should, I often forget sunscreen and almost never wash my makeup off before bed. Looking for a quick fix I purchased a fraxel laser peel with my dermatologist.. which made me skin look great.. for a few weeks. I quickly started to see sun spots even though I had been wearing sunscreen per my doctors post op recommendations and was not pleased with this at all. I purchased this cream to help with these unsightly spots as well as the fine lines around my eyes that Botox just doesn't affect. I wish I had just used this cream instead of spending almost $1000 on fraxel, the results are amazing, quick, painless and cheap! My skin tone is even and the texture is smooth! And to be honest I only put it on when I remember to, which is maybe a few nights a week. Get it.

This is a really nice product, I’ve been using it almost a month now in conjunction with Amara Beauty Advanced age-defying moisturizer and Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer spf 15. The Retinol cream feels rich and hydrating and I use it every night before bed. In the morning I wash my face with only warm water and a cloth and apply the Age-defying moisturizer followed by the Aveeno PR spf 15. My skin looks pretty fantastic! It’s smoother, very soft and seems more even all over. I’m pretty dang satisfied and the price is very reasonable, I will definitely continue to use all 3 products. I did break out the first week of using these products but then it cleared and all is glowing :)

I have been using this product for over a year and it was great but I have to say, the company is being sheisty with the actual retinol ingredient now. The smell is different and the most noticeable thing is the color. It's lighter and the lathering isn't all there anymore. The price has noticeably doubled. Pushing for good products shouldn't jeopardize the need for the company to increase their prices. I remembered the retinol was included in the first eight ingredients. Not anymore. To decrease the actual product for profit gain???? So as of now, I will not be purchasing this item again.

I bought this for my teenager who has acne. She uses Vit C serum first then this. Sometimes we use a Manuka honey(raw) face mask. She has very sensitive skin. It is reasonably priced and not too harsh so the skin does not "rebel" against it. However if there are underlying reasons for acne such as Polycystic ovaries or excess testosterone, this will only stem the tide. Nevertheless the cream does help and is not like the rip-off or harsh abrasive products pervading the internet. It does not destroy the skin either, it conditions without grease and gently brightens it so that once the underlying problem is sorted out you will still have a skin left! I would highly recommend this product as a good quality, no nonsense part of a skin regime whilst examining the deeper causes of acne. I have also tried this cream and found it a light and effective base - I actually think my skin looks brighter for it. I have spent far too much on heavily advertised products with big promises. This quietly marketed product does the same with better quality ingredients.

I am using this product mainly for the furrow in my brow & for some wrinkles that I’ve had above my mouth. The cream has made a big difference in reducing the wrinkles above my lip & some difference in the furrow in my brow. For maximum effect of this cream I would recommend that users drink enough water, get enough sleep & take some form of collagen internally.

A wonderful product which feels lovely on my skin whilst also hydrating well as I suffer from dry skin. I have seen a improvement in my skin and hope after continued use I will see even more

I HAVE HAD NO REACTION TO THE CREAM, NO REDNESS OR PEELING. THIS CREAM IS LOVELY, NOT 'HEAVY' ON THE SKIN, ABSORBS BEAUTIFULLY. I HAVE BEEN USING THIS CREAM FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS, MY SKIN IS SMOOTHER AND 'PLUMPER', I HAVE HONESTLY NOTICED A DIFFERENCE IN BOTH THE TEXTURE AND THE APPEARANCE OF MY SKIN. THE PRICE IS ALSO VERY GOOD, ALL THOSE YEARS AGO I PAID £28 FOR A PRIVATE PRESCRIPTION FOR RETINOL.
