Definitely worth it.
I try to cook pretty much everything outside. I put this on my Weber kettle grill. It is a great way to get a kinda brick oven pizza. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn’t take too long. It fit perfectly on my grill. I used it the next night to make four pizzas. Being my first time using it, I can say they turned out pretty good. I did learn a few things in the process. First, definitely use more charcoal than you would when normally grilling. You’ll need the heat. I wish I had used a bit more. I would recommend lump charcoal as it gets much hotter for longer. Second, make sure your pizzas are appropriately sized. I got a little carried away and one hung off the edge of the stone. A 10-12” pizza is about right. Third, don’t get too many toppings. Lighter is definitely better for this style of pizza. I’ll be tweaking things just a bit next time. The only negative I can think of is the charcoal fence is pretty flimsy. I might try to use something else that’s a little more sturdy. I’m also going to try a cobbler, baked beans and anything else I can think of. Between this, the grill itself, the griddle and a couple burners in my outdoor kitchen I really have no need to ever cook inside again! Update: I’ve had this for a couple of months now. I like it even more now. My only negative originally was the charcoal fence. I’ve replaced it with one of those charcoal vortex things and instead of putting the charcoal in the middle like they are designed for, I put it around the edge of it. Works perfectly! I’ve made about eight more pizzas, cheesy garlic breadsticks and a cobbler. I’ve experimented with several toppings. I’ve used a pan vs. just on the stone. All have turned out wonderful and were a big hit. My next task is making 10-12 pizzas at a time for a large family gathering. I do see several negative reviews on here and honestly I’m glad I ignored them. This thing is a great alternative to buying a separate pizza oven. For the price, I have no regrets and am now addicted to having this style of pizza.

Makes Great Pizza!
Let met start off by saying that this thing does a phenomenal job!! I was looking for a way to recreate the wood-fired pizza oven effect at home, and this fits the bill perfectly. Assembly is a little involved, and it takes up a fair bit of space when not in use. However, once set up and up to temperature, it cooks a mean pizza. As others have said, you're gonna have a really hard time with just charcoal; I use charcoal to pre-heat everything, then pull the lid off and add a bunch of wood chunks when I'm ready to cook. Once the wood catches, the temperature gets nice and hot and she's ready to rock. The kit does include a very solid pizza stone and a large stainless pizza peel for rotating and removing your pizza. The only thing missing, which does make things a bit difficult, is a wooden pizza peel. I had a really hard time transferring the raw sticky dough from my prep table into the oven without one. After ruining a couple of pizzas doing this, I found a wooden peel on Amazon and never looked back. The thin metal one is the only way to go for removing the cooked pizza off of the stone, but it's very difficult to transfer the raw pizza with anything but the wood peel. You need both to really make it work. Easy to use and does a great job! Strongly recommend!

Economical Solution for Outdoor Pizza
After doing a lot of research on outdoor pizza ovens, I stumbled upon this product. The thing that struck me immediately was the price. There is another product that is twice the price. So we took a chance. That said, the installation/assembly is quite easy. I suggest you read the Q&A section and the reviews, as there is help there if you have a specific type of kettle grill (We have a Weber model where I had to remove the lid holder and these comments helped. The directions do not address this issue). As for heating/cooking, I could never get the grill up to 700 deg-F no matter what I did nor how much charcoal I used. The 10 lbs of charcoal is a reality. I have done some additional re-reading of reviews and the next time I use it, I plan on adding some hardwood to see if that extra fuel will take it the rest of the way up. One thing I noticed is that the dome thermometer on my weber next topped 400 deg-F where the PizzaQue thermometer read ~600 deg-F. I kept the dome vent shut so I'm questioning the accuracy the thermometer that came with my kit. Even with the heating issue, we cooked our pizzas and they came out great. Yes they took longer (about 15 minutes which it takes my wife to cook her pizzas in our oven), but it was fun. Overall, it is a good product. It takes doing research on how to best use it, but it cooks well.

With all the other comments and review I was expecting something flimsy that is barely ok. Well that is not what I unboxed! It is well made ( more than descent food grade steel gage) that is sturdy and easy to assemble. First, the pizza stone is made of cordierite witch won't break from 900°f + temp like ceramic stone will... Second the kit is easy to set up and is easy to add charcoal, small wood lug or wood chunk. Third, it fits perfectly in kettle 22.5 ( if you have a performer or a one touch(any 22.5 with lid older) it does not fit perfectly: 2 option, remove the 2 bolts, or cut a notch in the pizza ring) I decided to remove the bolts as I am planning making pizza no more than once a month... Finally, the way this pizza set is design, it will easilly get hight temps 800-900°F without any problem. Couple cons here, the charcoal fence is made of thin metal ( but it sure can handle high heat) and the temp gage seams off by 100 degrees down ish... ( but who rely on them anyway) This set will bring your pizza as close as possible to a authentic pizza oven would but for 1/30th of the price I did not tried the pizzakettle but for half the price, I think this set is a better bang for you crust! :)

Converts my Weber charcoal grill into a pizza oven to make delicious pizzas! What’s not to love? It’s sturdy, and best of all provides easy access to add more wood/charcoal to keep the temperature up if making multiple pies. I used a different brand’s pizza oven converter before this one, and it was a nightmare having to take it apart - while blaring hot - to add more fuel. The charcoal fence is a little flimsy, but it works. The unit is easy enough to assemble. Recommended!
