Cheap metal. Overall it didn't break on me on the first time opening it but material are cheap made.

Misshapen
I loved the idea of this locket so much and when I received it, it truly was a disappointment. The wings or clips on the side had to be completely re-bent to hold the locket together without straining yourself every time; and, there seems to be no firmness to the string of pictures.
