These plastic caps are the exact caps found on Parmesan cheese bottles from the grocery store. I literally took my current cheese cap off and put one of these on to make sure I wasn't nuts. If anything, I'm more mad at myself for not knowing Parmesan cheese bottle lids perfectly fit mason jars. Maybe offering them only in red & green should have tipped me off. Do they fit and work as expected? Absolutely. But charging $15.99 for what I now know they are is outrageous to me; hence the 3 stars which is generous. But hey, kudos to them for figuring this out before I did. And at $5.99 to return, I'll keep them because, as I said, they fit the jars and do what I was looking for them to do. I'll just plan to keep my Parmesan cheese bottle lids from now on. I suggest you do the same.

Exactly what I was looking for to enable me to sprinkle various rubs/herb mixtures onto foods.I like to make different rubs, spice mixtures, etc. and store them in mason jars for use. These lids allow you to sprinkle directly onto food or use a measuring spoon for a recipe. (The lids would make a nice touch if someone wanted to make a collection of rubs for a gift, too.)(I would have preferred an option of a set of mixed colors to make identification easier/quicker while cooking so gave four stars instead of five.)

This is probably a super-specific use that only applies to us but...we buy lots of Litehouse salad dressings, the kind that comes in a glass jar in the produce section. We like to re-use the jars because they're a great size for things like home-made refrigerator jams and pickles, roux (I always make extra to have on hand in the fridge), dulce de leche, etc. The jars come with blue plastic lids that are ok, but don't seal very well and aren't particularly durable. They also have a tendency to pick up smells.These lids fit those jars perfectly and seal tightly, and since they're metal they don't pick up any smells. Also they look great, so if I want to give someone a jar of jam it looks classier than a plastic lid.We are very pleased with these and I'm probably going to order at least one more set.

These are non-BPA. Caps from most Parmesan cheese containers are not BPA-free, which matters to many and should matter to everyone. Also, I got the darker green, which looks much better than the lighter, brighter green color of most Parmesan cheese lids.One thing to note, with one of these caps on a Mason jar, it is taller than it would be with the original metal cap. Some of mine would not fit on the spice rack shelves with the taller plastic lids on them. My spice rack has a variety of shelf heights, so it was just a matter of reorganizing a bit.

I bought these to replace my metal mason jar lids b/c I didn't like having to unscrew the metal ring, and take off the lid. These make it so much easier! I wish they came in different colors but it's so nice to be able to just pop the lid and scoop out what you need. I purchased these over another b/c I was afraid my measuring spoons wouldn't fit in the other, they definitely fit in these and it's so nice to be able to level off your spoon. I use for cinnamon, baking soda, kosher salt and pepper. Love them!

We use these daily, and love the convenience of having a one piece lid. We use Ball jars for food storage, and my husband uses them to take leftovers for lunch. They have held up extremely well, and we have had no issues. We do, however, handwash them to help prevent any rusting on the inside of the lid, and so far there is none. As we are using glass storage exclusively now, I will likely be ordering more soon.

I love these! I have all my spices in Mason jars and the old caps were getting rusty, and I was tired of unscrewing the lids each time I needed a a spoonful of one. These are plastic, so they'll never rust, and I love the bright color. And they're regular spice jar lids. One side has holes for shaking, and the other is open, to dip a measuring spoon into, but with a straight edge for levelling off the spoon.

Using on small mouth Mason jars for all my seasonings and spices I buy in bulk.Some reviews I read said their lids rusted however these are plastic and will not rust. Handwashing or toprack in dw.Love that they have 2 sides that flip open. One side has 3 good size holes and the other is for using a measuring spoon.No more wasting time taking lids on and off while cooking.Love these. Just ordered more.
