Monoprice SB-200SW Premium Slim Soundbar - with Wireless Subwoofer, HDMI ARC, Bluetooth, Optical, and Coax Inputs, Black

This unit does add a nice bit of depth to our mid sized (50”) tv, but the sub woofer might as well not be plugged in and using any energy. A serious waste of electrons for sure. Also, the optical out does not allow the tv remote to control the volume, I didnt know this so switched to an HDMI and that fixed the problem. Not a lot of options on the remote controls, and those that are there do not do very much. If I had not bought a slightly used unit for 50$ this puppy would have gone back.

This is a really bad sound bar for some applications. There are two main problems:1. For videos with a person speaking without background music or other background sound, the soundbar cuts out on every pause, and causes the first word of the next sentence to be silent.2. The subwoofer is extremely "boomy" and has non-linear volume. If playing music with a strong bass line, the rest of the spectrum is basically inaudible until you crank the volume pretty high. And the bass cuts out entirely below about a volume setting of 15.The unit's remote has 3 buttons to adjust the sound (news, music, and movie), and no other way to adjust the subwoofer. I have the subwoofer sitting on a thick cushion on the floor, in a failed attempt to attenuate the bass.I am on the hunt for a replacement. I would not recommend the monoprice soundbar.

I was looking a sound bar w a some balls. Monoprice delivers. Bought this system because I have there surround sound in my basement and love it. Totally recommend this soundbar. Remote isnt the best.

Nice sound

Horrible audio. Soundbar voice quality much worse than TV. Subwoofer obnoxiously loud with minimal equalizer control. I'm returning.
