A Great Buy ! Educational Information enclosed in review.
I purchased this individually.& the foot Switch, Clip Cord separately . I got better quality foot switch & a better clip cord. Foot Switch: 360 GEM Pro Stainless Steel Tattoo Foot Pedal (For Power Supply) about $4.00 Heavy Round Stainless Steel with Rubber anti slip pad on bottom & Black Rubber in center top. The Clip Cord $1.00 length 6' . The Power Supply is Nice. Monster Point is Monster Steel, Tattoo Supply. [...] . & they also go by piercing pros on amazon. They Sell tattoo & piercing supplies as well as jewelry. They have great prices & Service That can not be beat. They really go that extra mile. For example from them on this order I purchased this Power Supply as well as 100 mixed Monster Point Tattoo Needles $8.00 per box of 50. That is Dirt Cheap. They sent the supplies + a samples of A&D ointment. a Catalog Coupons for a discount on next order, & a few funny stickers. & their needles are top notch. Companies Like Mithra & Needle Jig Sponsor Known Tattoo Artist + Tattoo Conventions + Full Page adds in most Tattoo magazines each month plus several web sites... Who Do You Think Really Pays for That ??? You the consumer. Be Wise People. Buy the best for Less. It is a needle bar with needle groupings. The quality here IMO is comparable to needle jig & mithra. I have used these for awhile & love them. Never a problem. I digress sorry back to the Power Supply (PS) Features Dual Machine Hook Ups. This allows you to have 2 clip cords with 2 different machines hooked up at same time. Flick the switch & your liner is on & flick over to the shader.Dual Knobs so you know which is for which machine, nice feature. Clear bright Blue Led Voltage Read Out. I have a few Power Supplies from hear out called ( PS ). The Chinese version of the Hurricane: about $35.00 Nice & about 85% Less than the original. You can not beat that Eikon is another one. $100.00 for the Chinese version & that's about a third of the original. What these 2 PS offer different is more features like Duty Cycle Amps, a timer for showing how long you were tattooing. Great feature if you charge by the hour. Client can argue it is right there on the machine. Next is a constant On & Off for the foot switch. this is great & if you are reading this & have not been tattooing for long. You will soon see how great this feature is. Just 1 click & the foot switch is on. No need to keep your foot on it. & the 2nd click turns it off. These are more money but have great features. Additionally the Hurricane can be bagged with a single sandwich bag. For Health Dept.. Standards. The Eikon needs a barrier film or a Lg freezer bag. Back to The Monster Point Dual Digital PS. A Bag over just the front is fine. & works great. This is a great buy.. I would recommend it. In the beginning it helps to have a lot of tools like Volts Amps Duty Cycle etc. After a while you will hear that buz that perfect B Flat tone. & Can tell by feeling the armature bar nipple while it is running as to hit. & Look a armature bar nipple while on with a dough colored nipple, Neon Green Yellow Red work better. Or paint armature bar nipple with some white out. Now While running you will see. 2 Dots. Imagine a center line, between these 2 dots, just touching the center line. Liner Set up, Just apart Shader set up, a little further apart Color Packer set up. Free Information on You-Tube: Channels: under ground demagraphix & Sin City Tattooz. sin city tattooz has an excellent video on this Disc #2 Watch #1 first if this was not under stood. & under ground dema graphix has several videos on machine tuning etc. Take Care, Bill

Just buy it already.
If this power supply goes out on me i will drop the amount of stars on the review, but for right now it gets all 5 stars. Switch the voltage on the back to 110 if you are using it in any normal US outlet, plug everything up, then go. The left nob is for the shader, the right nob is for the liner. Switch toggles between L (liner) and S (shader). Plug everything up ( including tattoo machines) before turning on the power and turn off the power before you unhook everything (this is just good electronics etiquette and might also prolong the life of the power supply). The nobs are very sensitive and i have to make sure every time i power the machine down that i am not bumping the liner nob on the right, which is right above the power switch. This thing is very reliable, if it breaks just replace it for another $25 and you will still be better off then paying more for another machine. Also having it so you can run multiple machines is awesome. If you are spending time during the session to set up more machines the only one you are hurting is yourself. if there was a power supply that had more lines out for machines and was under $100 i would be reviewing that instead. I do believe this is the best bang for your buck when it comes to power supplies. If you look on a show like ink master you will see them using supplies like these. So if you are in the market just buy one already.

1 of the best power supplies i've used in a while
I'm always looking for great power supplies and tattoo stuff when i am upgrading my gear. This blue led display caught my eye, but that's not why i bought it. I liked the fact it has dual jacks for liner/shader. Setting/tuning up my machines ahead of time saves me time when I am inking a client, so that when I finish the lining, i can switch over to shading w/ just flipping the switch and of course setting the voltage for the shading. Having 2 clip cords (one for each machine) helps as well, but if you don't want to have all those wires in your way or on top of the unit, you can also just use one clip cord, and just put it into the shader when ready to switch over. Any experienced artist out there knows that switching over to the other machine and setting the volts doesn't take much time at all. 1 clip cord will get it done fine. 2 clip cords, you'll probaly save a few seconds. Don't forget you still have to adjust the voltage though when switching over or else your machine will be sparking, lol. Adjusting the voltage is the only downside of the unit because it doesn't tell you which knob adjusts what, but you will figure it out. Also, the knobs are very sensitive and responsive, so like some of the other reviewers stated, i too agree, turn them very slowly in order to get the setting you want. If you turn them to fast, your voltage will probaly be in the 20's or 30's, lol. So turn slow. The other downside is that the AC Adapter power cord is really short, so if you need length, bring a surge protector or an extension cord (or both, like i do). The other good thing about this unit is that it runs pretty solid, and does not overheat (like other units i've used in the past), even after a long inking session of 6-12 hours straight. I originally bought 2 of these and i use one as a backup and the other as my main power source. Still to date (jan 2012) my main unit has not failed me and i first bought it back in May 2009. In fact, while inking at an expo along side another artist friend of mine, his power unit took a crap on him (he had a crappy cheap 10 turn knob, the kind you buy for like $10-$15 on the cheap sites) after about a 1hr session, and he wasn't done with the tattoo, and I had to loan him my backup unit in order to finish. He ended up using my backup for the remainder of the expo (about 8 hours) and he ended up buying it from me at the end of the night. the foot switch that comes with it does tend to stick sometimes, so i recommend buying a better foot pedal. When i first bought it, i got it on sale for $50, and it regularly sold for $150+. Now to date i see how cheap it's gotten, and still worth the $. Definitely will not disappoint you. I'm still using it to this day as my main power source and also as a backup. Like i said above, my main one bought in '09 has not failed me yet, and i have put it thru some pretty grueling sessions as well.
