LEGO Lord of the Rings - Nintendo 3DS

3DS version: Don't try and take this game too seriously. It is a bit of a fun and silly re imagining of Lord of the Rings. The controls CAN be funky, but it's nothing that gets too frustrating. The music can also get a bit repetitive, but it's based on the actual soundtrack of the LOTR movies, so that's awesome. There are many lines from the films used in the game, so you actually have Ian McKellan, Andy Serkis, Sean Astin, Elijah Wood and more. The game is a combination of puzzles and mild action battle sequences. The puzzles are usually easy, they do give you hints, but sometimes it's hard to see what you need to do on screen. There were only a couple of weird spots where it required a bit more thinking or doing something less obvious: the battle in Balin's tomb is one example, the other being catching a fish for Smeagol. Both were a bit more obvious once we figured it out. The best recommendation though is that my wife - who is absolutely NOT a gamer - really enjoyed this game. And actually after completing this game with no assistance from me, she decided she wanted to create an account on Elder Scrolls Online, so now I share my PS4. So be wary people - it's a gateway game! IGN - 6.8 "Too much water"... oh wait... that was a different game... This game is much better than their review. Especially how it pushes the limits of the 3DS.

Arrived brand new, sealed, & in perfect condition

Bought the 3DS version for my 7 year old son. He's not a big video gamer, but loved everything Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. So I figured I take a chance and buy this for him. He really enjoys playing this game. It's not too hard and not too easy. There are definitely some parts where he needed some help but not too much that I had to play the game for him - just to get past a certain obstacle in a couple of the episodes. The game is pretty self-explanatory where he just popped the cartridge in and just start playing. Highly recommend.

I'm 33 and I still play all the Lego games. I love them all, including this one ... even though I do see issues with it. As others have pointed out, the camera angle is just not good. It's hard to see what is happening sometimes or what I'm doing because the angle is so off. Often, I'll have to position myself appropriate to the view before beginning a scene or moving forward. Otherwise, I lose myself or kill my allies. It is amazingly easy to kill any ally with me. Like ridiculously easy. I do it every single time I engage in any sort of combat. Sometimes that amuses me, but it can also get irritating. All in all, I only detracted one star for the issues because I do like the Lego humor within their games, and LOTR is no different. The same humor is there, and it's still an enjoyable play.

I picked up two of these so my kids could play together. As LOTR fans they are crazy in love with the game and how it works! The Lego part makes it just a pinch more enjoyable, and the parts from the movie that are in the game are magnificent and entice their creativity! Highly recommended for any LOTR Lover of any age!

Loving to play and interact with my grandchildren, this was a no brainer. I had tested with my grandson prior five years of age and granddaughter four years of age. There is much to do together in this game; critical thinking, share works (cooperation) and fun......loads of fun!!! Amazon delivered swiftly and the product came pristine.These are rainy day games with a bit more action than board games alone. Thank you Amazon because I can bring the newest and latest into my home for an affordable price.

But I'm a huge nerd and this game is entirely too fun. I've only made it to Moria and I'm having the time of my life... well my week, I guess but seriously, so much fun. It's not crazy hard, which is good because I suck so badly at most video games, unless it's Mario or Tetris. And the 3D is actually kind of gorgeous. The only thing I can possibly complain about are the loading screens. They are ridiculously long and annoying. Other than that, amazing.

When this arrived it didn’t work so I asked for a return, at no point was I asked for proof of return as post office only suggest recorded delivery for items worth over £20. I sent it back and haven’t had a refund. I have sent numerous emails and supplied pictures to prove a recorded delivery was not requested yet they are refusing to refund me!! I I have a very upset boy who uses his pocket money for this. Terrible service!!

Ahora que tengo tu atencion, el juego llego como nuevo y mucho antes de lo previsto. Precio exepcional, sin duda vale la pena.

El juego era para mi mujer, cuando intentó usarlo no funcionaba porque es la verión de USA, lo hemos devuelto. Decepcionados por la mala información que da Amazon en este producto...

Es un juego muy divertido. Fiel a la franquicia, en realidad se parece a todos los otros juegos de lego Marvel, Star Wars, etc. Pero sin duda es divertido.
