A Great mini LED Light.
Believe it or not I used to use these lights to stick on the plates on my rollerskates. The light shines on my wheels and looks great as I go around the rink.Dislike: The small 2015 lithium batteries costs about $8 or so and I had eight of them; do the math :).Like: Very small, very bright and the battery does last a good while! I skate around twice a week for 2 1/2 hours each day and I needed to replace them about every 4 months or so.jaz

It is NOT Squeeze On/Off, as described.
On receipt, I was disappointed the light only works while continuously depressing the power button, The packaging hinted at this, and did not include any instruction to activate a switching mode other than the the one encountered. I found this unlike other LRI Photon lights ordered in the past, in this respect The activation button fails to toggle the light function, it is Squeeze On, exclusively. Without Squeezing, it is Off.I almost want to return it, but it does clip easily to my key chain, in a way the Innova light can't. And, it is still, small and light-weight, Suitable to a point, but I could like it more if it functioned as described.

Awesome for its intended use.
I am a Law Enforcement Park Ranger. Some of my work requires low light discipline, so I bought this to have a brief source of light if I really needed it, without really wrecking my night vision. This does the trick perfectly. It gives a decent amount of light; enough to see your way, but not really enough to see fine details unless it's really dark and your eyes have already adapted to low light. The covert nose does a lot of work for you in terms of hiding your presence when you have to use a bit of light.Add to that the fact that it's always on my keychain, so it's always within reach when I need it and you have what is - for me, in my application - the perfect little backup light.I've only had it for about 5 weeks now, so I don't know how durable it's going to be, but I've used it several times in a work capacity and many more times off duty when I just needed a bit of light, and so far it's held up perfectly.Would definitely recommend.

Cool, but painful to use and ineffective
The light is fairly compact and houses a red LED as advertised.Pros:- The light is red! Doesn't hurt your night sight- It's easy to hold- The device is compact- The device feels somewhat robust- It's easy to tell which way the light is pointed just from the feel of holding it- The special nose on the device reduces the chance of it being spotted while its lit (if you're into stealth)Cons:- It becomes somewhat painful to keep the button pressed; there is no on switch, just a press to keep lit- The light is fairly weak- The nose on the device drastically reduces the area it would light up if the nose wasn't there- The special nose on the device reduces the chance of it being spotted while its lit (if you're NOT into stealth)Bottom line: This is not the red LED keychain you should be using and is not a product I'd like to depend on. It does have a certain coolness factor with the red light, the compact size, and the special nose, but it's not a practical gadget.

Photon Blue LED with Covert Nose
These things are awesome. I have like twenty of them around the house and work. Every keychain and jacket zipper pull we have is equipped with a Photon. Don't waste your money on the knockoffs. Those aren't around, because I regifted them to the neighborhood kids. Photon LED lights are more expensive because you get a better product. Maybe Harley Davidson should take the hint. By the way, the covert nose keeps the light out of your eyes while you are using the product, and maybe gives a little protection to the LED sticking out. I like these better than the original open nose version.

Great product, but disappointed!
I ordered two of these, one with a 'covert nose' and a blue beam, and one with a white beam. The product description clearly states that the light includes two accessories: a clip and a neck loop. It arrived with neither. The lights are excellent. But MicroTools should read the description of what is being sold. As Amazon gets 99.9 % of my orders correct, I'm not going to complain, but just order the two accessories as an additional kit, at $8.00. When you order this fine, high-quality light, don't expect the accessories.Edit: Although the original order stated "Micro-Tools," this WAS NOT. It was shipped from and by Amazon, who do not read their own product description.

Lasted 3 days
I purchased this light to keep on my keychain for when I head out to photograph the stars at night. I chose this model because of the snoot over the red LED. Unfortunately, the light lasted three nights and only used it once or twice in those three nights before the switch stopped working. It still sits on my keychain and every once in a while I'll press it to see if it works and sometimes it does, but not when I need it too. I just purchased the Inova Microlight instead, and while it seems better made, I haven't taken out in the field yet. The Inova Microlight doesn't have a snoot, but it doesn't need one since the LED is recessed.
