I am typically a size Small but I've been pushing closer to a medium lately in underwear and these panties appear to fit well when the adjustable sides are almost completely tightened. These can adjust to a size Large (according to a Victorias Secret size chart). I think most people dissatisfied with sizing are larger than they think they are. The panties are very pretty and the material, although on the stiffer side, is not scratchy but perhaps this differs with color. I got the white. I was hoping for a higher cut.
