It's a great vacuum. It has excellent suction power, it is lightweight and it is relatively quiet. It has ample suction power for hard floors, but also more than enough to deep clean my carpets, removing (pet) hair with ease. The main vacuum head has multiple settings - carpet, hard floor and automatic carpet/hard floor and it works very well. It comes with a bunch of other heads and accessories as well. What I also really like about the AEG 6000 bagged vacuum is that it has a very long power cord stretching out to 9 meters, which gives it a whopping 12 meter radius. This means that I can vacuum pretty much everywhere in the house without having to switch power outlets. I only wish that it was available in different colors other than just grey, but other than that I can't think of a single complaint. If you're looking for a well priced, quality bagged vacuum with plenty suction power, lots of accessories and a very long action radius, look no further - this is the one.

I have used this only once, although I did vacuum the entire house+furniture and used almost all nozzles. I will edit and update this review if my opinion changes. Looks just like the pictures and all attachments were included. I am not a fan of the colour, it's a bit 'orthopedic', but it's not for display so I'll somehow manage. The loooong cord is truly a blessing, makes the job a lot easier and faster since I can do the whole floor in one go and not stop twice to move the plug. All dust, sand, dog hair and assorted debris was easily removed from the laminate flooring even with the suction on the lowest setting. The lack of wheels on the nozzle is actually great. On our fairly flat area rug I used the regular nozzle and just adjusted it for carpet, it got rid of all the dirt from our dog running in and out over it easily. I used the smaller nozzles on the furniture, all working great. I used the pet/carpet nozzle with suction power on ~medium on the carpet flooring, and whilst it is SO LOUD due to the spinning brush, it really does pick up hairs like nothing else. I had just vacuumed the master bedroom with the old hoover, but figured I would give it another go with the pet/carpet nozzle anyway as I blowdry my hair there. It picked up so much hair I now have to take it apart to remove a large amount of my long hair that's stuck twirled around the brush(see gross pic). There isn't any way to avoid this due to the nature of a spinning brush, but it would be great if there was an easy way to remove the hairs, like screwing just the brush out from the side. I couldn't find any other way than taking it apart with a screwdriver and cut the hair off, then putting it all back together. Knowing I will have to do that every time I use the pet/carpet nozzle isn't super motivating, but at least I know the carpet is properly clean from now on. It's not especially lightweight or small, apart from the telescopic wand that feels a little lighter than our old one, otherwise I would say it's a pretty standard size and weight for a modern vacuum cleaner. The telescopic wand is adjustable from small to very long, at 5'8 height I didn't need to use it at max length to be comfortable so it should be suitable for someone a fair bit taller. It didn't once flip over when moving around corners, which was an issue with our old vacuum cleaner(Amazon Basics bagged, worked amazing for 5.5 years). Value for money is a bit hard to say. If it lasts for 2 years the value is bad, but if it lasts for 6 years++ it would be good or even fantastic value for money. I considered it an investment. It was about £50 more than the alternative I was considering, the very long lead and ability to pay monthly is what tipped the scales and I am very happy it did. I am also glad I got a bagged one, so much easier to maintain and just dispose the bag. I was briefly considering the Amazon Basics bagless cylinder vacuum cleaner, but I was filled with dread thinking about the times I had to manually clean the filters on my old stick vacuum cleaner, an even more disgusting job than cutting hair from a spinning brush.

AEG is a good, reliable make, so I expected a powerful vacuum cleaner. I got more than I bargained for. Even on the lowest (carpet) suction setting, the cleaning head was clamped to the floor like a limpet. The instructions are pictorial, so you have to work out what the pictograms mean. I discovered that the aperture at the top of the suction pipe must be open in order for the cleaning head to move across the carpet. It still requires a bit more effort than our old Miele, but does a very good job regardless. I guess I'll build up a bit of muscle in my arms using the AEG. I'll treat it like a gym work-out.

I am so happy with this cleaner. I previously bought a wireless shark vacuum and was so disappointed in its performance that I gave it away in less than a year! This cleaner picks up everything the last one blew around the floor. It’s relatively light so very mobile and the power cord is of a good length. I can get into the edges easily. Emptying the bag is not too difficult but a little messy. Iam not very practical and I struggled a little to put the bag back in but that was just me being crack handed. I got it in the end. The cord retracts nicely and the cleaner suction turns off with a tap of the foot. This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I will have to wait to find out about durability.

Great product and a good range accessories. Suction is powerful and cleans better than I expected. Vacuum is not to bulky and it’s easy to move around. Cord length is sufficient too.

I love this vacuum because of the suction, the floor attachment having 3 settings: hard, carpet & and auto function. The connections remove with ease. It’s well made & very quiet. It has an additional floor brush, upholstery brush & small soft dusting brush. I am very pleased & impressed.

AEG vacuum cleaner is sound and straight forward to use, motor power is good and suction is certainly more than adequate. Fairly priced and not too heavy in use.

I bought this vacuum cleaner a while ago. It is a great machine and the suction is brilliant, BUT the hose is manifestly short. The hose should be at least another metre longer. This issue makes it a nuisance to use. Apart from that it is a great machine.

Es la segunda vez que las compro para un aspirador AEG. La verdad es que funcionan estupendamente: las medidas del plástico que sujeta la bolsa son perfectas para el soporte de la aspirador. Además tienen el detalle importante de poder cerrar la bolsa tirando de una pestaña antes de sacarla, para no poner todo perdido de polvo. Muy práctico. La otra cuestión importante es la de la capacidad de succión. Tenía miedo de que redujese la capacidad de succión del aspirador, al ser un filtro demasiado grueso, pero no he notado ninguna pérdida de potencia. Es más, cuando cambio la bolsa y limpio los filtros, aspira como si fuese nuevo. Lleva un borde de goma suave que ayuda a que el encaje sea perfecto. El precio no es excesivamente barato, pero me dura cada bolsa más de un mes de uso intenso, así que tampoco es un drama.
