The main pole won’t stay upright even know the lock bit is pointing down

Is this suitable for 6 years + age?

My 3 year old grandson is using it although he has not mastered the break at the back wheel yet .. Probably best for age 4 or 5 but there’s no reason a 6 year old couldn’t use it ..
