Art Nouveau Flower Motif Secret Nesting Book Box Set

I have looked on and off for years for decent secret storage books like these - hollowed out books that look real but have a hidden compartment inside. I've always found the idea of them to be very fun. However, they have to be of a high quality and look real to be fun at all. "Fake books" like these that stand out as fake have no real purpose, as they just stand out like a sore thumb on a bookshelf. And unfortunately most "fake books" fall into this category, so I've never gotten any before.I came across these on a whim, and they are phenomenal. Unpacking them, you would think that you are unpacking genuine leatherbound hardcover books. The cover will fit in with any quality hardcover books on a bookshelf. The larger one does stand out a bit, as I do not have many books that size, but the smaller one fits perfectly as a hidden book among my real books on my bookshelf. Basically exactly what I was looking for. Beyond the look, the quality is phenomenal, and will be able to take a hit if it falls down (though hopefully you're careful with them!). A higher quality than most of the other "fake books" I've come across over the years that don't look as real. And somehow, they also come in as significantly cheaper than most other "fake books" I've come across of lesser quality.Basically, this product is a win. You're unlikely to find better "fake books" than these, and certainly will not for the same price.

When I purchased these book boxes, I was under the impression they had a silverish finish on the leather, however, when I received them they are most definitely a dark brown. I would have preferred the silver finish, however, they are well made and complement my office. I have posted photos of the actual Amazon ad, showing how they appear to have a silverish finish and then the brown finish I actually received.

These boxes are exactly what I was looking for to keep a messy coffee table looking company ready! I keep my diabetic supplies in the little one and the larger one holds my remotes, Advil, nail file and a few other things that were cluttering my table. Now when I walk it all I see are these lovely books!! Highly recommended.

I bought these so I could turn the larger one into a Darkhold for my Agatha Harkness (from WandaVision) costume to carry items with me (I guess as a purse, essentially). It worked PERFECTLY for that. I use the smaller one to hold jewelry. These are really nice quality and really do look like old books. The outside feels sort of leather-like. They're much nicer than I expected.
