Great Starter Espresso Maker
Clever design made from durable and attractive stainless steel, and makes espresso on the stovetop in minutes.Fill the bottom with cold water, fit the filter funnel, add espresso coffee to taste, screw on the top, and turn on the element. Within a couple of minutes the sound tells you it's almost finished. Remove and pour.Capacity: Serves two N. American coffee cups when milk added. We use a separate electric milk frothier for easy cleanup. Silicone seals seem durable.

But the one MADE IN ITALY
PLEASE do yourselves a favor and read the reviews. After a disappointing experience, I read a great number of reviews. I saved the original shipping container and found, after having to really dig, I found this Bialetti Mocha Maker was made in CHINA “to the specifications and design of Bialetti.” I purchased (2) new 3 & 6 cup mocha makers that specifically says on the machine, “Made in Italy.” I am finally very satisfied. These are 100% stainless steel and DO NOT RUST

Four Stars
Very good coffee maker.

Handle always leaks
Handle leaks every single time I make the coffee. I have had the aluminum pot for years and decided to try the stainless. I actually don't think the flavor is as good as the original Italian design and it is made in China.

Oddly it did not do this on the first cup of coffee but does seem to get worse over time
OK but not up to what I am used to from my old aluminum version of this stove top coffee maker. The coffee is much weaker and it does leak through the handle. Oddly it did not do this on the first cup of coffee but does seem to get worse over time. It does function and if you like weak American style coffee it is nice for making a quick cup of coffee.

I love that its stainless
My old Bialetti (used for over 20 years) finally gave up the ghost and I really wanted to replace it with a stainless steel version.Although it takes a tiny bit longer to heat up, I love that its stainless.Makes great coffee!

Hole formed in bottom :(
I have been using this coffee maker now for about 8 months and it just developed a hole in the bottom where it holds water. Very disappointed as I take very good daily care of it.

Pretty good stainless steel replacement for my beloved Moka...
I already own a 6-cup aluminum Bialetti Moka, which I love, but I'm leery of the aluminum, so I purchased the Venus as a stainless steel alternative. It makes a fine cup of coffee, although I think the Moka makes a slightly richer, more complex cup. It may be because they heat differently. I haven't timed the two pots, but the Venus seems to brew much more quickly than the Moka, and I may need to make some adjustments to both the grind of the coffee and the intensity of the heat on the stove. An earlier reviewer noted all of the sharp stainless steel edges on the Venus, and I concur. There seem to be a lot of places where one can cut one's hands {such as the edges where the bottom reservoir screws onto the top), or get them caught between the lip of the pot and the lid, but you just need to exercise a little care. I bought the Venus because of its slick look, but I must confess I miss the funky six-sided look of the Moka. And in any case, both of these pot make a better-tasting cup than the Aeropress, which was my previous standard.
