Good Customer Service Response. Thank you!
These collapsible trekking poles are great for hiking if you can figure out how to assemble and collapse them. They are impossible. I bought these so they would fit into a suitcase for an out-of-state hiking trip. Used them once, and they worked great, but could not reassemble them to use a second time. Now, after reading the "ELIGIBLE TO RETURN" policy, I see that the return policy was 30 days and I am tough out of luck. Do not buy these. There are better collapsible poles on the market. To give this company credit, after they saw my negative review they reached out to me and offered a replacement or a full refund. I opted for the refund and appreciate their response. They stand by their product, which is admirable. The poles were effective for hiking.....it was a huge inconvenience and problem to assemble and disassemble them.

Great quality poles! Hiked all over!
These were a last minute purchase when our original Amazon order didn't arrive in time for a hiking trip. I honestly selected these because the neutral color worked and they could get to me in time to take to the national parks we were visiting. In the meantime, I could not cancel my previous order because Amazon stated they were close to shipping. Needless to say, the originals arrived while we were gone. Because we loved hiking and plan to go again, I was going to keep the set that arrived late as well. We had never used poles before and weren't sure if we actually would (but we did!), so we only purchased one set originally. However, after six of us sharing and using them on a three week vacation, we know we could use another set. My husband wanted to compare the two and thought the Koviti poles were far superior to my original purchase anyway so we returned those.

Easy to assemble and fit in my suitcase!
I flew out to meet a friend for some hiking and didn't want to count on being able to find poles at the destination so I ordered these. I already had 2 sets of Black Diamond hiking / ski poles but they don't collapse down enough to fit into my checked suitcase. I looked at several brands on Amazon, and chose these because (in September 2021) they were the least expensive poles with good reviews that were lightest and smaller than others when collapsed. They packed small and worked well. My friend who weighs 240 pounds thought they felt a little too flimsy for him, but they were great for me (well under 200 pounds). I have bad knees and rely a lot on my poles for the downhill and these were stable for me. (For reference, one hike had 900 feet of elevation loss in 1.1 miles.) I do walk slow and was not exerting pressure from the side like another reviewer had problems with.My only complaint is that the wrist strap loosens a little too easily so I had to frequently re-tighten it. I like my wrist strap to be a hammock for my hand, holding it against the pole so my hand doesn't fatigue from gripping the pole tightly. (It's the method recommended by "experts", but not everyone does it.) I use the poles to help propel me up and stabilize me on the way down - not just in case I lose my balance - and that constant pressure loosened the wrist straps more easily than it should have. (The wrist straps on my Black Diamond poles do NOT move unless I purposely adjust them, for example.)I probably wouldn't use these for extreme hiking, but they're great for my run of the mill ~4 mile, 2500 ft of elevation gain hikes. These are now my default set for day hiking because they can just live right inside my hiking backpack.Note - the people who posted pictures of the pieces of the poles flopping around look like they didn't do Step 2 of the instructions. You definitely get flop if you don't fully extend that "hidden" piece.

GREAT LIGHTWEIGHT TREKKING POLES
The Koviti collapsible trekking poles are strong, lightweight and easy to transport, especially in a crowded car. Disassembly is quick, and the poles store handily in the nylon carrying case or in your backpack. The composite handgrips are ergonomically shaped for a comfortable hand hold that you will come to appreciate. The retaining hand straps are adjustable to fit. The design and quality of materials are excellent in my opinion. The initial assembly can be confusing, as there are no instructions. Assemble the lower rods by inserting, then pull the upper aluminum rod out from the handle until the round brass detent pops out, which locks the assembly.Voila. The internal cable tightens and holds the rod pieces together. Quite a clever arrangement. Then tighten and adjust the clamp to the desired height. The "clubfoot" rubber tips are for hiking, and the snowpack inserts can be easily switched for hiking in snow. The provided skinny round rubber tips are for pole storage so you don't scratch the floor.

Great so far!
I ordered these for a trip to Peru but then dislocated my kneecap the month before I'm leaving, so I've had a chance to try one out before the trip. After checking out the directions, I had no problem assembling, and can easily assemble and disassemble one while I'm walking, if I decide to grab it out of my pack. I've only been using one pole in my dry local hills with the pavement foot on it, and have found it to be sturdy and fits me well. Occasionally I have to turn the foot around to match the direction of the handle, but no major inconvenience. This is my first set of trekking poles so I have no preferences to compare to, but so far so good! (and the knee is already healed!)

BEYOND DEFECTIVE DEFCECTIVE DESIGN IMO
In My Opinion this is the most dangerous product I have ever seen. I was paralyzed from the nect down for over a year starting January 2021. I purchased these November 2021 to assist with learning to walk again after spending over $1,000,000 recovery costs. Now November 2022 I am learning to walk again and decided to try these. I have a genious IQ. A CPA. They colapse when used. That equalls a fall, a broken hip, etc. No care giver can make them work. They are a pretty face but IMO totally worthless. I paid $29 delivered in November 2021. This product designed and made in China should be banned IMO.
