Really nice for the price.
This low priced, compact little caller is perfect for someone who wants to get started in predator calling. The price is hard to beat and it works very well. I measured 100 yards and the call responded to the remote every time.It doesn't blast the country side with ear splitting howls like the $200-$400 dollar units but for the price of this unit, it can't be beat and it is more than adequate to call in a critter.

Louder than expected. Great results.
This item works exactly as expected. Several settings for varrying calls. Volume is absolutely unexpectedly louder than anticipated. That was a pleasant shock. We have set out trail cams and it absolutely makes the difference on whether or not we get nearby sightings based in direct correlation on if we use the squalls or no use at all. Definitely made a huge impact on drawing coyotes closer.Very grateful for that.

Not Good - poorly made in China
In my experience this is not a good unit. I field tested it and it would not receive a signal from the remote at distances of over 40 feet or so. I tried two sets of batteries, 1st ones were alkaline (Dura Cell) which the cold outside sapped almost immediately. Then I tried very expensive (Dura Cell) Lithium and that helped for about 20 minutes then the same result, the remote would not recieve the signal.I have sent this model back, and ordered the more expensive ICOtec 300 model. Hopefully it will be better, if not it will go back too. (update 1-19-2013 New one didn't work right either. It's going back too).I think Amazon should drop this particular unit from their website, it is junk.I have heard good reports about the FoxPro models from friends who hunt.Foxpro is a USA made product with a 3 year warranty as opposed to this Chinese model with a 1 yr limited warranty. I am going to start buying US made goods, our workers need our support.

About what was expected
Had 5 coyotes in view at 1000 yards, down hill and downwind; played all calls for 15 minutes each - watched the coyotes thru a spotting scope to see how they'd react - no reaction whatsoever from the coyotes. Either the coyotes were deaf, or they didn't feel like reacting in any way to the call.

Great call for the money.
Worked as expected. Could probably purchased something louder but I only use this about 3 or 4 days a year and for the price was just what I wanted. Worked well for calling in bear using the fawn distress and that was what I wanted even though I did not bag a bear lol.

Good enough for the price I paid
I've heard electronic calls that are louder, and I've used some with longer remote range...but for the price I paid I think this call represents a fine value. The calls sound good and should be loud enough for most hunting setups. The remote worked consistently at 50 yards but became a bit spotty beyond that range...I was still able to control the unit via remote beyond 50 yards, but I had to be much more deliberate when pressing buttons, hold the buttons a bit longer or press multiple times, etc. I didn't use it at 100 yards but would be surprised if it worked reliably at that distance. Having said that, I'm still happy with the purchase, especially for the price, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple handful of distress sounds, particularly if you are setting up and brushy or wooded areas where your remote-distance requirements will not be too long.
