Q: Can you sharpen it with the Lansky sharpening systhem?

It's gonna be really tough to get a good hold on it with the Lansky. There's a substantial swedge on the top of the 0452's blade, meaning there's nothing for the Lansky's "notch" to grab on to. You'll have to go really deep in the Lansky jaws, but that'll bring the edge really close & you run the risk of hitting the sharpening knob with your stone.

Q: There are a lot of zt clones (fakes) on the market, and they are very difficult to tell from the real thing. how do we know these are real zts?

I don't have a gold standard zt straight from the factory to compare, but the quality of materials and construction seems very high. It should be difficult to make carbon fiber frames with this quality and tolerance. It is laser-marked with brand, model and S/N on the titanium side. I'm happy.

Q: Is this flat or hollow ground?

It has a very neat swag on top, but is considered a flat ground. It is an excellent slicer. Would never have guessed it by looking at it, but this blade shape has turned out to be the best box cutter blade I have ever owned!

Q: I'm new to zt knives and i think its time to man up. which should i get either the zt 452cf or zt 562cf as my edc?

I have both and I have a hard time choosing which for EDC so I just switch off. Both are awesome in there own right. They both feel great in hand, flippers both smooth, a little more so on my 452cf. Both lock up solid and are crazy sharp. 452 is a little longer and thinner so better stabing while 562cf is thicker or wider for slicing. If had to choose I'd say 562, it just feel great like made for my hand. You will not be disappointed with either but treat self and get both. Can't say enuf about them!!
