This is nice little unit. Night light stays on and gently illuminates just fine at night and you can use it also as a flashlight. And if the power goes out, it automatically lights up all by itself. Highly recommend it!

These are the best nightlight/power failure lights I have ever purchased. Yes, they are fairly expensive. But I have had them for 3 years now and they work perfectly. Also, unlike so many others, these lights require no batteries. This makes the body of the light slimmer and you also don't have to worry about the batteries inside corroding over time. I have several of these throughout my house and it's nice to see them at night, and I know if the power fails they will stay on and you can grab one and use it as a temporary flashlight if you need to. There are a lot of these on the market, and I have bought and returned others, but these are the best primarily due to their reliability, their appearance, and the fact that you do not have to insert batteries into the back of them. If you have elderly parents you might consider buying a few of these so that they will always be able to find a "flashlight" in the dark. Great product.

This light doubles as a night light and also as an emergency power failure light. The night light has a light sensor that turns it on and off depending on the amount of available light, while the emergency light only illuminates when there is a power failure. It got tested recently during a power failure and performed very good. The emergency light provided adequate light to see around the room where it was located, and it stayed on okay for the three plus hours that the electric was off. Well satisfied with this product.

I have these lights scattered throughout my entire two story house and now can walk anywhere in the dark without turning on additional lights. I mainly wanted them to illuminate the stairwell at night to help prevent accidental falls for a family member with bad knees, which they serve the purpose well. The light is a soft white and looks more like the old incandescent bulbs which was a disappointment at first, but now that I've had them a few weeks they've grown on me and the light seems adequate. The power failure light is bright, but the flashlight is average at best. The electrical plug swivels and is very loose which makes them difficult to plug into the outlet because it keeps wanting to fold closed when applying any pressure to plug it in, so you sort of have to hold the prong out to get it started which can be dangerous and a shock hazard. I wouldn't want to be unplugging and re-plugging these things into the outlet all the time which would be necessary when using the flashlight. Overall a good purchase, but just be careful with the electrical prongs closing shut on you when plugging it into the outlet.

We were looking for some power failure lights to compliment our hardwired lights for power outages. These are a great mix of power failure light, flashlight, and everyday nightlight. They plug in to the outlet, and don't block the second plug, so it still can be used. When the switch is in the Ready position, and the power goes off, or you remove the light from the plug, the power failure light on the front comes on. The Brightness is good to light a room enough to see to get around or go retrieve this light to use as a Flashlight. Speaking of Flashlight the Two LEDs in Flashlight mode are also bright enough to get around with and have a wide angle pattern, so it's not just a spot in front of you. Good to move around in our home. If you want more light, just leave this in the Emergency light mode and that light is brighter than the Flashlight.In all there are Three sources of light on this Power Failure light. They all work well. Bright enough to do their jobs. I don't know how long the light lasts yet, so I can't speak to that. But this isn't my only Flashlight, so that isn't a major thing.In short. This light works Very Well for it's intended purpose of automatically coming on during a power outage, and being able to be used as a flashlight when needed too. If you have nightlights in your house, replacing a few with these will work very well , and give you piece of mind if the power goes out.These would actually make great gifts for friends and family. Everybody needs a little piece of mind when the power goes out.

I ordered 8 of these to use all over the house and last night I had a 2 hour power outage and it worked exactly as we had hoped. Throughout, the emergency light mode provided plenty of light and during those 2 hours, never showed any dimming of brightness.The highlights of its design that made me buy it to begin with.- Night light mode is a warm white and appropriately dim. Some night lights are far too bright.- Emergency light mode comes on automatically when no AC power and the light is cold white and much brighter.- Does not block the second AC outletThose are the key design features that made this perfect for my needs and now I have actually had to rely on it in a real life power outage and can confidently recommend it.

These are just so easy and convenient, plug them in and they’re all set. They look cute in our hallways and not like a “typical” night light. I show friends when they come over how easily they convert to a flashlight with the stored power!! I’ll be buying more of these for gifts.
