Very informative. Each book might be about the same thing or have the same things in it, but each book tells you something different. That's what I like. I'm just getting into this. I've only been into it for about 5 months now

Learn something new. I gave this to my daughter and she uses it a lot. I love it when somebody learn something new. It was a good value a great gift, and she appreciated it greatly.

This book gives the basic information about chakras and the different types of energy healing, which is helpful to the layman:)

You will definitely learn your reiki from this very accessible book that employs and very conversational tone. In keeping with the spirit of reiki, the narrative here is relaxing and mellow, maybe a little too casual. That said, it covers all aspects of the chakras and everything you could possibly need to know about the benefits of reiki and how to properly perform reiki on someone else or solo.

TLDR: Great for those interested in what Reiki is and what it's made up of. Not great for learning how to really use it. Read it in one sitting. I feel the need to get a different book to really learn from.No book that teaches any form of magick should be so flippant towards focus, self management, and directing energy. You cannot simply draw a picture and let it go, while being distracted elsewhere, lest you channel the wrong energy in to the person or yourself, or fail to channel at all.The author chose a fun and lighthearted voice, which I enjoyed. But paired with the font shifts and typos shows a dismissive and immature attitude to the topic.David, I encourage you to come at this again in a revised edition. You obviously have much to share but got hasty with this work, and tried too hard to make the topic less intimidating.

I loved loved loved this book. I have been interested due life’s struggles especially after loss. I wish I had read this sooner fo so many reasons; I would recommend to just about anyone. I think that understanding things like this can promote healing especially trauma and muscle pain. I appreciated the Christian section because new concepts can feel so out there. The spiritual connection with the body is so fascinating and who isn’t healing from something? Chakra work and the connection with energy is so cool. The symbols really worked for me. Enjoy.

Very good book for an introduction into learning reiki healing!

Very poory written, almost as if by a child. The author seems to have only a rudimentary understanding of reiki and I can't imagine this book being helpful to anyone.

Great information easy to understand

I bought this to read to give to prospective new students of Reiki one. It’s certainly not what I had imagined and seems to take on a lot of the authors personal viewpoints. It’s not based on traditional Japanese Reiki. It’s just not how I was taught and how I teach.There is also a chapter dedicated to Christianity which I guess is fine if you are a Christian ( and there is nothing wrong with that) Christianity is much the same as any other religion based on love and tolerance. However Mikao Usui was a Buddhist monk. Another point I didn’t like was the Author spends a chapter on Christianity but does not acknowledge Usui as having been a Monk and refers to him as a man only. I feel this is misleading. The whole book is very vague, limited and to be honest doesn’t Ofer much in a learning capacity.It may work for some, but in my opinion if you are looking for more traditional Reiki teaching leave it on the shelf and keep your money.
