NORTH Honeywell 550030M 5500 Series Low Maintenance Half Mask Respirators, Medium, 1' x 1' x 1' Size

Somewhat small for me, but nonetheless fitting snugly on my face, having a P100 filter, and being approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), this Honeywell respirator, though unable to remove poisonous gases, has been otherwise perfectly effective in preventing wood smoke, cigarette smoke, automotive exhaust, foul odors, and other offensive, distracting, hazardous, and unpleasant causes of olfactory sensations from reaching my nose and mouth. I found it especially helpful during the Mullen fire and Colorado fires, which produced smoke that shrouded my home almost continuously for five weeks: having fit the mask snugly, I inhaled no smoke and could not smell it at all,--nor could I smell my neighbors' coffee, bacon, food garbage, tobacco smoke, or automotive exhaust. And I continue to enjoy and value the same benefits of this respirator, even during sleep. The quiet clicking of the exhalation valve is no more noticeable than the ticking of an old clock, or than the rhythm of my normal breathing. The head straps are very unlikely to break as long as you don't lift the respirator by them: it's advisable to grasp the respirator itself before you pick it up. This Honeywell respirator is much more effective than my EROCK Half Facepiece Respirator 6200 by 3M Company, and being made of softer plastic, feels more comfortable on my face. To stay safe, I sanitize the respirator with isopropyl alcohol at least three times a day.

Works very well, doesn’t fit as well as the 7700 series but is a great substitute for use in a medical setting. Disposable N95s are hot and difficult to wear for an hour straight and wasteful. I prefer this by far for comfort and security. Needs to be adjusted frequently for fit, cleaned of sweat and is hard to talk in but worth it for the ease of breathing.

Although slightly less nice than the more expensive soft black honeywell masks, it is still very comfortable. Have worn for close to 8 straight hours during our summer work days with the exception of pulling it off for water. Of course, comfort over duration also has a lot to do with having clean filters so don't forget to replace those team!!

Safe for airsoft

Despite lack of cartridges, however, I had no difficulty trying this thing ON, and it fits wonderfully. I got it primarily for costume purposes, but I don't like a costume to be worthless for anything else; what's the point in that? The vents work properly and I appreciate the simplicity of the design. It fits snug, but comfortably. The straps are slightly difficult to adjust on the face, but I managed and now I look...strange. If I need a mask for anything, I think this is what I'll use; it doesn't fog up my glasses and I can WEAR my glasses. Also, my copious amounts of facial hair do not seem to be impeding the seal whatsoever. All-around, this thing is wonderful.

This mask fits me very well. It is easy to adjust and is comfortable to ware for long periods. I use in my woodworking shop and it filters out the wood dust well. Also the replacement filters are readily available.
