GE Lighting 1157NH/BP2 Nighthawk Automotive Replacement Bulbs, 2-Pack

My Suzuki DL1000 has twin bulbs in it's tail light assembly. I replaced one of these original bulbs with a Nighthawk and compared. ~20% brighter is about right so it lived up to it's claim. I then replaced both bulbs. A few days later on a ride my friend that I was riding with stated my brake lights were really bright. That's what I was going for. Good value. Quick shipping. I'm happy with this upgrade. If it was a LOT brighter I'd give it five stars. But for the price, this is a good deal and worth the money.

The bulbs work fine for rear brake lights, no problems so far. There was a rebate when I bought them, but the GE rebate processor rejected it. I didn't take any stars off for that. I used the rebate form posted next to the product, attached the UPC from the package, and received a postcard saying the it was the wrong UPC code. I'm sure the form was filled out correctly. Price is fine without the rebate, it's just annoying.

I'll admit 20% is hard to discern, especially if you are replacing very old light bulbs with brand new ones. These are brighter than the ones I took out, and I like the new lights better. I wish however, that the price would drop a little. This is the best price on nighthawk bulbs I could find so I gave them a try, glad I did. The last star is impossible to give until I see how long they last.

Not as bright as the Genuine Honda (34906-SL0-A01) 12V Bulb, I'd get that instead. in fact I bought both to check, they were for a motorcycle so I just wanted the brightest and I can tell you for certain the Honda OEM is better.

Bulbs have the same output as any 1157 bulb by standard, however, specs show half the life of a true 1157LL (long life) bulb. I compared these to 10-year old "standard" 1157 bulbs with thousands of hours (old in left light fixture, new in right light fixture) so it was a true A-B test. There is absolutely no visible difference in light output whatsoever.

Bought these because I wanted to enhance my motorbike's single rear light/brake light, after disappointing results with LEDs. Seems good although I have not tested them back to back, so cannot be sure about the 20% gain.

Offers noticeably increased brightness at a resonable price. For me, was an alternative to expensive LED bulbs.Three more words.
