Perfect! Wish come back in stock!
Absolutely love this set I wish the black and brown would come back in stock I ordered it a year ago and I still have all of my plates and absolutely love them and they look just like the photo! Every time I have people come over they asked me where I’ve gotten my set! They go amazing with my kitchen it’s exactly what I was looking for. They all showed up in tact with not a single scratch!

Finally!
Nice solid feel to them and look exactly as pictured. Bowls are “small” but I prefer the size and have bought 2 sets. I have looked for over 2 years and finally settled on these and I’m in love

love these plates
We ordered these when we moved to our new apartment - absolutely love them! They're very durable, have a great look, and are super easy to clean. We've had them for a few months now and no chips or scratches - look brand new still!

better looking in person
I purchased this set for my son for his first apartment. He wanted black in everything and loved this style.

Just two relatively minor complaints
Update:After having these plates for roughly six months, I have to knock off a half star... 3.5 total stars now. In my original review, I mention the "grating gravelly" noise that metal utensils can cause. Well, there's an additional drawback to the matte surface. Because the plates are dark-colored, they show all of the minute scratches that metal utensils created. This kind of diminishes the aesthetics of the plates... BUT, if you have food on them, you can't see the scratches! ;-)Original review:They're really attractive and solidly made. They come out clean from the dishwasher and are easy to maintain. I especially like the fact that the plates are TRUE plates... a completely flat surface with side "walls" that allows you to put all of your portions on the plate. Unlike some plates that are actually just shallow bowls that limit the overall "real estate" on the plate, and everything just slides to the middle of it. (And, no, I'm not so OCD that I hate my food "touching!" ;-) ) They're "pretty much" microwave-safe... Sorry, they ARE microwave-safe, in the actual sense. What I'm talking about is, they don't get to nuclear temperatures and scald the <bleep> out of your fingers when you try to take them out of the microwave! They get warm, but not so hot that you can't touch them.To the VERY minor gripes...- The bowls are pretty small. In the culture of over-sized portions we live in, this is probably a good thing, but the bowls were a little smaller than I thought they'd be. Guess I'll just be having two bowls of cereal in the morning! ;-) (For reference, they DO hold a can of Campbell's condensed soup + about 3/4 of the can full of water.)- Pseudo fingernails on chalkboard sensation. They're slightly rough-textured with a gloss "spackle" on them. So, a metal utensil dragging across these gives kind of a grating/gravelly noise. If you're sensitive to this kinda thing, these may not be for you. (My wife pointed it out, and it bugged her a little bit, but she's learned to deal with it, 'cause she really like the plates.)Overall, these get a "thumbs up" from us... I'll update this review in a few months after consistent use. (We're concerned about chipping, but after having them for over a month, so far so good!)

seems good
appearance is subjective, but the quality of these plates and bowls seems high. ive had a couple take some pretty good whacks against hard surfaces without chipping or cracking. obviously they will break if you hit them hard enough, but these seem to be made of good materials.
