Jacklin Seed by Barenbrug - Heisman Mix | 85% Kentucky Bluegrass, 15% Perennial Ryegrass | Certified Grass Seed (5 lbs (2,000 sq ft))

Planted this about fifteen days ago on a small round spot on my tree lawn in full sun and seems to be coming in very good

I've had a positive experience with the Barenbrug Heisman Mix Kentucky Bluegrass, and I plan to purchase it again. The only drawback I encountered was the slow germination time, especially when overseeding. To compensate for this, I recommend planning ahead when considering spraying preemergent. Despite this minor setback, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this product to a friend. It's a quality choice for a beautiful lawn if you're in the correct zone.

KBG has a very slow very germination and I guess thats why they put PRG in the mix to give you some sort of growth. It took a full season to grow in pretty thick. I wish it was a little darker but 0.00% weed seed. Great seed

Not a good seed mix. I applied it last fall of 2024 and was very patient…I got hardly any KBG germination and most of the germination was tall fine fescue.. It’s currently late spring in zone 7b and my grass is mostly clumping fescue… I am very dissatisfied to say the least. Oh well, I guess it’s my fault..

I am addicted to pulling up gravel, weeds, bad grass and putting seed down. Its amazing to watch it grow but terrible when it doesn't. This seed is the S### 👍 !!! Five days and little grass was coming out of the ground. I did put soil down over the existing non grass area and mixed this seed into the soil. I did not put hay or burlap on top and watered it twice a day in the Indiana August. Wow!!!! It is has been 4 weeks now and the grass is lush.. The only regret I have is I wanted to get more and the shipping was too slow so opted to get kentucky blue grass at the neighborhood store. What a mistake! I am one week out and the neighborhood store seeds haven't even sprouted. Just purchased more of this seed and can't wait for it to come!!!!

I needed fill in some KBG in the front yard. I usually mow around 3in. This seed just is not worth the price. Better off getting some black beauty or other seed.

I seeded a bit late this fall, 3rd week of September. The seed germinated much better than I expected for the time of year. I live in upstate NY. I read the Kentucky blue mixture after I bought the product and was very pleased. I will definitely purchase again.
