One of the Best Values in Pocket Knives Out There!
Keep it cheap and I'll keep buying! This has been one of the BEST deals on knives over the past few months, and I think I've bought 4-5 of these (early Christmas shopping). Solid blade through and through! At 5 oz., some might argue a bit TOO solid, but I like the heft of a decent blade! It's Kershaw's Chinese steel (made in China, it's not surprising). And while I would prefer an American-made blade with American-made steel, this is great for what it is. I have been pleasantly surprised by their Chinese-made products; they do a good job in general with heat treat, and while not all come razor sharp, they usually do and can take and keep a sharp edge. All of the "Filters" I purchased were able to shave off arm hair. This particular model is reminiscent of a Rick Hindered blade, but without the cost. Fills the hand nicely, and balances nicely. The simple lines and continual arc of the back are both visually appealing and aid it's ergonomics. I am a big fan of drop point blades and this one is no exception. With a 3.25" blade and a 4.5" closed size, it fits easily in the hand AND pocket. The SpeedSafe of one of the knives I bought was a little stiff at first--it wasn't deploying fast, and I needed to finish opening by hand. After working it a few dozen times, it loosened up fine. The others were great right out of the box. The stiff SpeedSafe on one was not enough to drop a star, given that everything else on this knife is so fantastic.Generally, I'm kinda a knife snob, but with these folders, I make an exception/. Good to have a few extra blades around in various places--never know when or where you may need a good blade. Buy one (or 5), you won't be disappointed.

Not heavy or bulky
17 is a steal it’s a lil slimmer then expected which suits me , some reviews said it was heavy which it is not, it’s perfect in the palm not bulky at all , five stars for being sharp, great color tone , for the price and for being a Kershaw

Great everyday knife that will impress you.
I bought this knife as a cheap use for everything knife, but it is way more than that. Everytime I use it I am impressed with the blade. It opens super easy, cuts amazingly and feels sturdy. I would pay way more for this knife and highly recommend it.

Good, dependable pocketknife. Good edge. Cuts most things the average guy today will e
I bought several fo these Kershaw Filter knives to give to male family members who use knives regularly and always seem to either destroy or lose them. The Filter is a good, sturdy knife that will cut maost everything the average male will need to open...and not make you cry when you chip the blade or lose the knife. All in all...just a good, inexpensive knife to have clipped to your pocket; or just keep several around for gifts.

Very nice knife
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent knife for the price. Have not used much but seems to hold its edge and stay relatively sharp after opening and breaking down numerous cardboard boxes.

Big/Heavy, in a good way
If you regularly buy 3-inch folding knives, the first thing you'll notice with this guy is how much bigger/heavier it feels than your others. It has comfortable heft, it feels good in the hand like a good tool or an all-steel handgun. It feels like a much more expensive item than it is. Actually, this would make a great gift.I don't have much experience with the 4CR14 steel; came with a good edge, and its holding it pretty well. Because of its size, I have a tendency to use the knife a little more carelessly than I might elsewise, and its stood up to rough use fine. While it works as an everyday carry knife (and is handsome enough for this duty), mine is in the toolbox. It is Chinese-made, but like most Chinese-made Kershaws I've had experience with, its a perfectly serviceable knife, with acceptable QC. Blade was well-centered on mine, and the hinge and lock are nice and tight while still being easily manipulated. If this is still about $25, buy one now, and think of it next time you need a quick gift. Recommended.
