This edge sander is perfect for schools and small shops. It's light enough to move, but solidly built with a cast iron table, something you won’t find on most sanders in this price range. Order this oscillating sander from Baileigh Industrial today.

Great Edge sander
The quality and build of this edge sander is equal to others that cost much more.It was delivered on a substantial pallet surrounded by a heavy plywood box arriving in excellent condition. Assembly of the few parts was easy with a sanding belt already installed. Replacement of the belt is straight forward but a cover does have to be removed first. The machine worked well right out of the box with the only calibration being to check that the table was 90 degrees to the belt which was very easy with the use of a square. The oscillation coupled to a spring loaded table that can be easily moved up and down improves the use of the full belt.In use the sander did an excellent job on long boards as well as helping to refine semi circle curves using the end table.Dust collection could be better but is no worse than other sanders I had previewed. Most of this problem occurs when using the end for circle sanding which is on the opposite end from the dust collection port. The price and free shipping with Amazon Prime was exceptional as other suppliers could match the price but had to charge $150 or more for shipping.Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Just don't buy it
This piece of equipment is not worth having. When we received ours parts were missing, nuts bolts and washers. Purchased some from Lowes and put the machine together. We had to re-drill some holes to be able to assemble the machine. If you are wanting one for the purpose of sanding on the end table...forget it. This machine does not oscillate like most. The motor and the drum on the opposite end of the machine are continuously moving (tilting) back and forth. This causes the belt to move up and down, however, you can not sand on the end table because it is constantly pushing your work away from the drum. You cannot keep your product in contact with the drum causing terrible bumps in your work. I have used many sanders of this style and have never seen one designed like this. The table locking mechanism is weak and will not hold a position. The only good thing about this sander is that it will sand....not great but it does sand. Support is poor, so you are on you on if you buy one.
