40pcs Female to Female 2.54mm 0.1 in Jumper Wires F/F (40pcs)

Got what I expected 40 wires with female-female connections, Sad part and why I gave it a 3 star was I only got (Black, White, Orange, Yellow) for colors.. Would have been nice to get one or two that were Red and Green, as they list on there page all the colors including Blue, and Gray.

It's a piece of wire, not much to say about that, though it does have the distinctive smell of China on it. Smells like old railroad ties and body odor.When you order this, it will take a week or two before they put it in a box and send it. Then it will take a very long time to arrive since it ships from China. The seller does not mention that it's going to take a month for you to get your item until after they have cleared your funds with no hope of a refund.I will never shop from this seller again and their presence on Amazon brings Amazon's reputation closer to the bowels of ebay.

These female-female jumpers were perfect for extending male jumpers not long enough for the job. They have just the right amount of flexibility; other brands are often too stiff. The colors are bright, not dull or faded. Included with the order was a bonus of five 12 inch long male-male jumpers, absolutely free! Only negative thing I have is that the black plastic ends pull off pretty easily. Other than that there really isn't any more to say.

I wracked my brain for hours trying to figure out why I couldn't get readings from a sensor I had connected with these wires. After checking continuity on every component, I realized that these wires were the culprit! Since then, I've discovered that a few others were bad. There are obviously some quality issues here.

Simple and cheap, but wow. These things need some quality assurance. 1 out of 3 had no continuity between the ends, so I've been pulling them apart, re-stripping, and soldering the ends back on. I don't regret buying them, but it would be nice if they just worked.

In a nutshell, see my title. These F/F cables are required for many small electronic boards, as these boards and the stuff they connect to usually have male pins. My primary use was control of external devices from my Raspberry Pi micro-computer. You can also chop them in two and braid on to create F terminals for bare wires; I also used them to hook things like 5V fans to electronic board M control pins.
