Used this the first time on a 'test' hike last weekend. Had a decent amount of 'stuff' inside, poles etc. Only did miles- but loved the comfort and stability of it. Using it this weekend for what will be 6 mi minimum hike, maybe up to 11.5 miles. Will see how I feel Sunday!Updated review: 2-4-18: I used this on my first 'long' hike yesterday. Did 9 miles, some of which was a good scramble. During the hike, the pack was super comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and even on the 'scramble' down, the pack never felt too big or got in the way. I did not have it completely loaded w/ gear as it was a one day hike, but it was packed decently.Today- I feel great, no back, neck or shoulder pain. This will be a keeper for me. :)

I just received this backpack. After close inspection, this G4 Pack is an incredible value and a wonderful opportunityfor those who may not have or want to spend a lot of money.If your a person who needs a pack for a variety of reasons, this is ideal. Laptops and Tablets should be in protective cases first. This pack type has no dedicated padded pocket (sleeve).The interior volume is more than sufficient for those who take what they need, not what they want to have.If I were a hard core outdoors person and / or had an ego disorder, I'd definitely purchase the more expensive pack.I know, for I have in the past.I am so pleased to have found and purchased this G4 and am confident it will serve me well. And you too.

Bought this backpack for a 1 month backpacking trip across Europe. I saw that this one had pretty good reviews and was only about $40 so I thought, why not? So far so good! I have not been on the trip yet but I have packed it and was able to fit a lot inside of it along with some packing cubes!

Overall very happy with this pack.+Internal frame.+plenty of space+hip belt+built in rain cover+rip stop fabric+keepers for hydration straw so it's not flapping around constantly- does not have a separate area for a hydration bladder.- only one pocketBottom zipper opens directly into the bag for ease of access. Sizing is unisex. Frame is not adjustable. Pack is very neutral, and easy to adjust the straps.

Purchased this bag for my first time ever leaving the USA on a trip to Colombia and even brought a second backpack (green bag strapped to backpack in photo) for any extra items I’d purchase on my journey and still haven’t needed the second bag as I write this review with 4 days left out of a 2 week journey! For the price this is a awesome backpack!Its already paid for itself! The footwear compartment is what sold me on it and its amazing. Would definitely buy another if I ever manage to run this one into the ground! A++

I hiked all over Scotland and Ireland with this backpack. It was exactly what I needed. It repelled water well, had lots of room, and extra pockets to stay organized without having to dig for small items. I was able to fit a laptop, travel guides, a Northface jacket, a pair of sweater UGGs, a go pro, a Nikon DLS with lenses and more as a carryon for my flight as well!!! It is lightweight and the chest and waist straps worked great for stability. I currently use it for my daily commutes on my bicycle to and from work. Great value!

Just took this on a two week vacation, and It was great. I've given up rolling suitcases. The pack is comfortable even without the hip belt. (I'm 5'10"). There is a sturdy top handle which makes it easy to hand carry onto the plane and lift to overhead bins. there is a separate shoe locker that can also be unzipped to form one large opening. There is a zipped compartment on the outside which has a mesh zipped pocket and a couple other small pockets. There is a small zip mesh pocket on both sides of the belt which is good for keys, chapstick, etc, but they are kind of hard to get in and out of, so I may alter those to hold more. They aren't realistically good for a phone or camera. Personally, I'd like to have a couple more exterior zip pockets maybe above the water bottle nets. I didn't see a hanger for a camelback bladder but there is a pocket it can slide into and an opening and clip for the tube. If you crammed this completely full it might be over the airline size limits. I had mine maybe 3/4 full. It easily fits the short way into overhead bins and is SO much easier than wrestling a suitcase. It seems to have sturdy seams and zippers. The material is not flimsy. Will be giving it a whirl as a backpack this summer to see how it performs for comfort and durability. I don't even know how they make this for $40. Even if it doesn't last, it's still a deal. And the seller emailed after purchase to check on my satisfaction and elicit suggestions for improvements to the product.

I have been using it for more than 6 months. It fits a laptop or tablet. 3 medium cube packs (one below) and 2 on main compartment . Also in the front 2 small case and a compartment for wallet or passport. There is a below pocket which holds the cover that can be used to hide a wallet or battery. I also strap my helmet , Bose Case, Sun Glass and a Speaker on the external. The TSA and Airlines never bothered me to check in. I had used it USA, Argentina, Brazil, England and Zurich Airports. It has been a great backpack for my ski trips.

The backpack is fine, but it was posted folded in half, which I think has damaged the back. They do the same thing with their 35 litre packs. When they start to post them so they arrive in good condition, I’ll buy the smaller one, but I can’t recommend this item, when it can so easily arrive ruined before you even get to use it

So I was looking around for a medium sized back pack for a 5 week trip around Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. I came across this great product that had every gadget i needed at a shockingly good price. Used Prime to order days before departing and have to say its one of the best bag/backpacks I have brought. Using packing cubes it allowed me to pack loads. It survived all weather and bumps through various airports and made it back home in one piece.Highly recommend this bag, especially at that price!

Auf den ersten Blick überzeugt der Rucksack mit vielen nützlichen Details. Ein für mich wichtiges Kriterium, diesen Artikel zu wählen, bestand in der Daypack-Optik, also der Bauart als klassischer Tagesrucksack: Mit rundlaufendem Reißverschluss und Vorfach und eben nicht mit Deckelfach in der Machart der technischen (Bergsport-)Rucksäcke. So finde ich den Rucksack deutlich unauffälliger abseits der Wanderwege, auch in der Stadt oder Sporttasche gut einsetzbar.Der Stoff ist recht dünn und wabbelig, kein Vergleich zu einem Markenprodukt. Die Reißverschlüsse lassen sich gut bewegen; manchmal sind sie allerdings etwas fummelig - aufgrund des wenig steifen Stoffs - zu bedienen, man muss dann den Stoff erst etwas straffen. Das Vorfach ist - finde ich - gut durchdacht und bietet Platz für allerlei Kleinkram, der nicht in den Untiefen des Rucksacks verschwinden soll. Das Hauptfach bietet ordentlich Stauraum; es ist sogar teilbar, so dass im unteren Bereich ein Extrafach für z.B. Schuhe oder Nasswäsche entsteht. Was leicht irritiert: Laut Produktbeschreibung auf Amazon beträgt das Volumen 50l, auf dem Etikett des Rucksacks hingegen werden 45l angegeben. Keine Ahnung, wie das gerechnet wird. Groß ist das Hauptfach allemal.Im Bodenfach befindet sich eine Regenhülle, die per Gurt gesichert ist, d.h. sollte diese einmal bei starkem Wind vom Rucksack rutschen, kann sie nicht weggeweht werden. Inwieweit die Hülle regendicht ist, konnte ich nicht testen.Die beiden Netztaschen außen bieten Stauraum für z.B. Trinkflaschen, die Taschen auf den Hüftflossen fassen ein Telefon oder einen Energieriegel o.ä. Letztere könnten etwas geräumiger sein.Es gibt einen Kompressionsriemen, mit dem sich das Hauptfach verschlanken lässt. Dieses System überzeugt mich nicht. Zwar lässt sich das Hauptfach damit verkleinern, nur bleibt der untere Teil, also der Teil, der sich abtrennen lässt, davon unbeeinflusst. Dieser beult sich ganz schön aus, während darüber der Packsack deutlich schlanker wird. Da wären zwei Kompressionsriemen eventuell sinnvoller.Der Brustgurt ist höhenverstellbar und funktioniert tadellos (d.h. die Schultergurte von den Achseln wegziehen + Stabilisierung des Rucksacks). Auch der Hüftgurt lässt sich vernünftig einstellen. Kleines Manko: Das Gurtband der Schultergurte ist relativ kurz im Vergleich zur Länge des Gurtbandes am Hüftgurt. Da kann man oft Einkehren, um den auszufüllen... Zusätzlich sind an den Schulterträgern noch D-Ringe befestigt sowie eine Schlaufe für den Trinkschlauch (Fach für die Trinkblase im Hauptfach). Die Abdeckung des Trinksystemausgangs finde ich etwas mau...ob die so dicht ist? Da hätte meines Erachtens der Stoff etwas großzügiger bemessen sein können.Darüber hinaus befinden sich noch Materialschlaufen am Rucksack. Einmal für Stöcke etc, einmal im unteren Bereich Spanngurte, mit denen z.B. eine Isomatte, eine Jacke oder was auch immer befestigt werden können.Kommen wir zu den Gadgets. Am Brustgurt befindet sich eine Signalpfeife (in den Verschluss eingearbeitet). Die habe ich nicht ausprobiert, habe jedoch Zweifel, ob die so laut ist, dass man damit im Notfall auf sich aufmerksam machen kann. Eine kleiner Knopfkompass ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Er dreht sich (schon mal gut, das tun nicht alle Billigteile) und zeigt rel. verlässlich die Himmelsrichtungen an. Für die Groborientierung dürfte es reichen.An der Seite des Hauptfachs ist ein USB-Anschluss eingearbeitet, ein Kabel befindet sich innen im Vorfach. Damit kann man wohl sein Telefon o.ä. per Powerbank (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) aufladen. Na ja, ob das sinnvoll ist? Der Anschluss ist offen, nicht abgedeckt und daher Staub, Schmutz und Nässe ausgesetzt. Halte ich persönlich für unnötig.Fazit bis hierher wäre: Gar nicht mal schlecht. Über die beschriebenen kleinen Mängel könnte ich hinwegsehen. Jetzt kommt leider noch ein dickes ABER: Der Rücken. Dieser ist als Kontaktrücken mit Belüftungskanälen designt. Der Rucksack hat keinen internen Rahmen. Vielmehr gibt es nur eine Plastikeinlage (?), die den Rücken stabilisieren soll. Soll ist das entscheidende Wort. Soll, aber nicht tut. Das ganze ist so dermaßen instabil und wabbelig. Nicht mal bei leichter Befüllung mit Kleidung (Fleecejacke, Wollpullover) bleibt das stabil. Der Rücken hängt sofort durch, beult sich aus. Das ist nicht schön. Die Plastikeinlage hat in etwa die Stabilität einer Frischkäseverpackung. Selbst wenn man das wieder geradebiegt: Eine Bewegung, und mit einem Plopp ist wieder alles schief. Für mich ist das nicht. Zwar ist der Rucksack durch den Verzicht auf ein Gestell sehr leicht und kann klein zusammengelegt werden. Wenn der Rücken etwas stabiler wäre, dann könnte ich damit leben. Aber so ist das für mich leider das Kriterium, welches es mir verdirbt. Schade. Optisch durchaus ansprechend mit viel Stauraum.

Little human errors happens, its life. Contacted the vendor, **PennyBuying** and big surprise!!! Finally found a vendor who stand by its products and service, good people, respectfull and negociable. We have found a mutually beneficial way to fix it and all went well. I highly recommand this vendor.For the backpack, its good, do what it should, solid and confortable. Havent tried it with the waterbladder yet, if it goes wrong, i will re review it here but by the look of it, it seems 100% ok.

It was what I had in mind when I ordered it, and the price was OK. I am not a camper, so I cannot rate it for that. I used it to haul fiddleheads (immature edible ferns) from where I pick, and a 30-minute hike up a river and across some small hills. It carried the right amount of cargo, for my stamina. (Would have wanted a larger one five years ago...) It appears to be well made, and the carrying straps were a lot more comfortable than what I had been using for the last ten years. If I lost this one, I would immediately purchase another.
