Dorman578-237 Fuel Tank Strap Compatible with Select Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models

Replaced my rusty straps on my 02 suburban 1500. Fits great and looks durable.

Part arrived quickly and I was able to install the rear strap which was the one that rusted through. I intended to install the front as well because I figured it would break sooner or later like the rear but I could not get the bolt to unscrew. It just spins. I will have to research how to get it off but both straps look heavy duty and should outlast the truck now with 230k.

Made it work, threaded rod & sucked it up snug, but looks a inch or two short.

Keep in mind that these brackets need to be stretched into place. I knew this ahead of time so it didn't bother me. The OEM ones has a rubber sleeve but these are just painted metal which is why the 4 stars but for a third of the price, I am not really complaining. Keep in mind that these are vehicle specific so you Tahoes, Suburbans, Silverados and GMCs use different lengths even though they use the same gas tank. Mounting points on the frame are different.

The rear strap was a few inches too short to work but I’m sure it would fit certain applications. other than that it was good quality from the looks of it.
