Sofa Chair Recliner Pull Handle with Release Cable Mechanism Replacement Parts Fits Most Couch Chairs Furniture

Direct replacement for our Ashely sofa recliner control. It appears to be the identical part that broke on our sofa recliner. Removal and installation was very easy. After turning our recliner upside down, I removed two screws that held the handle section into the side of the sofa which allowed that to just pop out. The clip near the other end of the cable assembly is also easily removed from recliner mechanism by compressing the snap in tab that fits into the recliner mechanism. S shaped hook removal is self explanatory. Installation is, as they say, opposite of removal. Feed the cable through the hole in the side of the recliner, attached the S shaped hook, snap in the clip into the recliner mechanism/frame, insert handle into side and reinstall the two screws that hold the pull lever cup. No need for an expensive service call to fix this item if you are handy.

These supposedly fit all brands; we have a Lazy Boy & the working parts didn't match. My husband McGuivered it so it would work, somewhat. The handle doesn't lay flush & sticks out a bit. For eleven dollars & something it was going to cost close to what was paid for return shipping to get another one or to give up. I do appreciate the "low cost", but when it doesn't fit or work then you end up keeping because it doesn't make sense to spend almost as much as you paid for the item to return it. Either it doesn't work at all & you have to get another one, try AGAIN!; or make do with it. It's working so to speak, just no very satisfactorily. The item should read specifically what brands it is designed for so it makes it easier to sort out with the many choices, is this the one or keep looking.

Almost lasted 4 months before both sides snapped off in our hands. I suppose that's why the return period is on 30 days.

Easy to swap out and the couch is working again! No issues and been in use now a couple months. Would recommend!

Could not use to repair recliner, as the cable was not included with the order. I Would expect it to come attached to the handle. Returning item. Very cast delivery, though

We used this to replace the broken one on our sofa. It was the right fit and easy enough for my husband to replace. The price was good especially since it fixed our sofa and we didn't have to buy a new one

I watched Youtube video on how to install it before I ordered it. It was easy to install. My wife says this is easier to use than the original piece that broke. The original was stiff while this replacement is easy for her to use.
